Even one rich family won't make the entire Department of Defense turn an operation.

What about a whole San Diego?

San Diego could not deal with a single T Rex. They should have sent a guy with a bazooka.

T-rexs are immune to all conventional weaponry.

That thing was made to punch into a tank. I think a bazooka would be reasonably effective against a gigantic lizard.

Even it could hurt it, it would probably either kill you before you could use it, or bring you down with it before it dies.

Now there's a movie: Bazooka Man vs Dinosaurs!

Or, even better. In the first movie, the raptors learned how to open doors. Now, Chris Pratt has taught them to use modern military weapons. This movie's climax will be the most Crazy Awesome thing ever.

[up][up] I don't expect the combined tissue of a t rex to be more resistant to penetration than the armor of a tank dude.

[up] Like that t rex from Axe Cop!

I think Raptors would need more human-like hands to use modern weapons.

@Rigo: But how would you know? Maybe T-rexs evolved to be resistant to anti-tank ammo.

I am appalled by the lack of respect for the Rule of Cool in this discussion. I'm going back to the Star Wars thread.

That was a great movie. Yep, the cellphone was ringing and they were looking for it, and bam! It was actually that dead guy's cellphone inside the dino's stomach.

And then later, they digged through the dino's massive poop piles looking for the cellphone, and another dinosaur looks like it might attack them but it just looks at them like they're nuts and walks away.

Good times.

Okay, here's my question. I am terrified of every movie in this series, based on the footage I've seen in Doug Walker's reviews as the Nostalgia Critic. Things like this scare me. I watched the trailer just because I think Chris Pratt is a hilarious guy and it scared me. I'm tempted to see the movie when it eventually comes to the library. (My standard policy for movies that might scare me, except for Marvel movies. I only make exceptions for them.) So, basically, should I see the movie?

The island in JP 3 is supposed to be a dino preserve? It looked like a failed park since it had remnants of enclosures. Nature preserves don't have cages.

Why preserve unnatural species?

It had lots of dead people too. Usually nature preserves don't have that many dead people. I assumed they all got eaten because the dinos escaped, not that it was intentional to let them roam free.

[up][up][up] Maybe you should wait until a more detailed trailer comes out. Possibly attempt to watch the others in the meantime. I've only seen the first one, but I didn't find it that scary.

If you like watching stuff that scares you then it's a great movie. Personally don't find them scary (due to the way my mom handled showing us the movie when we were kids), but I'm pretty sure that at least the first two films are supposed to be a bit scary.

That island in 3 is the same one in Lost World, which was where they originally bred and grew the dinosaurs in labs and enclosures before transferring them to Jurassic Park on another island. Both islands were abandon In Lost World Hammond wanted to turn it into a preserve so that the dinosaurs can live without human interference

The reason why Lost World and 3 were set on Isla Sorna is because in the books, Isla Nubliar was bombed to hell.

I'm wondering if they're going to make any mention of the other parks in JP 4, or bring up attempts to bury the stories. I mean I don't think they got very far (the stories), but the PR group for the park would still be careful to not let people know/remember how the two previous parks went to hell, Or else no one would want to take a family vacation...or send their kids there alone.

But yes Chris Pratt and the Raptor Squad does look cool.

Did the T-Rex kill anyone when it went for a walk through San Diego?
