We already have Metal Gear Solid 3
World War One is certainly an era that needs more films. Especially more non-WWI related films. Perhaps a horror set in the trenches, or a fantasy film to do with zeplins. Or maybe Soldiers and Aliens.
The real problem with most films is that the futher back they go the more they become a mere period film. The exceptions are any film with sword fighting and such, those are more like fantasy without the fantasy than any real historical film.
Most time periods are underrepresented in films. As for interesting ones, I wouldn't mind more 1970's films, early cold war years, 1920's, WW 1, pre 1066 Europe.
But really, anything that makes effecttive use of it's timeline while being somewhat period accurate would be great.

What with a new generation forming from those years and beginning to grow up, that is definitely true.
A 90s Period Piece would want me to digest my vomit and then shit the vomit on said film.
Not necessarily a decade, but I could definitely go for some more films involving Norse mythology and intrigue involving the subject as well. Most likely appearing in the...
