The Big Lebowski will like to prove that wrong
my definition of a cult classic is basically anything with a cult following

This level of trolling is reasonable for Commander Obvious. What do you think of this, everyone?I think a cult classic is a film that would've been forgotten about almost immediately if not for the cult it's amassed keeping it alive, and being vocal enough about it to the point where even the mainstram admits that it's a classic.
In short: A film that only lasts long enough to be considered a classic because of the cult that it has supporting it

"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel![]()
its primarily based on the fanbase and their actions
you dont see people reenacting Bridesmaids or dress up in their favorite character

What is it that makes a film a cult classic? I'm not asking what it is about a movie that makes it a cult classic but what defines a film as cult classic?
