No I do not take abstinence to be such and in fact practice it myself during Buddhist holidays. I mean to take a week stay at a wat for more intense training and abstinence. At a wat.
I respect people who choose to take it up for various reasons as well. Just depends on how you go about it.

I wouldn't mind, and I respect any time she slaps me away for any reason, but since I have occasionally stimulating effects on her anyway and she makes no effort to hide them...
As for me personally, I'm abstinent for all intents and purposes while not around someone I'm attracted to anyway; my drive is entirely fueled by other people.
