The Tick laid a comforting hand on Grey's shoulder. "Worry not, my android ally. Your friends will persevere. Those villains will have their time, they always do! That is, if they could be called villains..." He rubbed his chin and looked away. "...rather confusing really..."
And a Strange Figure Emerges."Thanks..." muttered Grey, looking up at the Tick as he did so. His eyes had apparently returned to their normal emerald hue by now. If Grey was honest with himself, he wasn't sure what Aile could do. She was talented, yes, and she probably had a few years of experience over the other Mega Men, but she still seemed to be outgunned and outnumbered by their opponents.
How long would it take for them to get back to his world, if they did so at all? Certainly too long for them to help in the fight they had just left, Grey felt. If so, then Aile would need all the luck she could get. Trying to ignore the outright weird behaviour of Shotaro*, he noticed what Rey was doing. "...What's wrong...?"
Rey's admittal that they hadn't returned to a world before put Grey further on edge. That didn't sound good.

Locking you up on radar since '09All the while the champions were being watched, their confusion, their speech, all observed.
Antroz stood on the pinnacle of a crstaline tower watching the champons in their discourse; from their behaviour, it would seem that nothing had really happened.
Are these beings truely worried about being stuck between dimensions?
Do they not have the fear that they would be stuck here forever?
Do they really want to escape?
If these beings truely want to be set free they certainly aren't showing it.
So Antroz watched and waited, it occured to him that conversing with some of the more intelligent ones in this party would yield better results than simply waiting and from talk he had gathered before the champions left for their adventure he had deduced there were beings that had been made captive this way before; a talk with them would indeed be interesting.
Yes, though he did not know them well he had already fought alongside them in more than one battle.
"I have neither forgoten nor forgiven you, Rey Mysterio; what you did to me last time we fought have yet to be paid back in full".
Antroz launched himself into a silent glide towards the returning champions.

Rey blinked, looking towards Grey, then shook his head. "I...I just...I don't know, it's...I just noticed...we're shy some folks, is all, it's...it happens...sometimes..." He bit his lip, still holding his helmet under his arm. He still seemed somewhat confused, and didn't yet notice Antroz.
Easing back into life one step at a timeTick looked to an approximation of the distance, stroking his chin in introspecting. His mind rolled about the thoughts of moral ambiguity, then finally a summation was formed.
"As you all well know, the path to a just life is straight and narrow, like a great long tightrope. Up until today, it never struck me how easy it would be to lose your way, and teeter off the edge. By all rights, we should know good deeds from bad, and bad thoughts from good, but many bad ideas seem like good ideas if you're not thinking straight OR narrow. Oh, boy. Once you're off that tightrope, it's a long fall from the top, and safety nets are in short supply. So make sure you know the bad, of murder and treachery, and remember the good, of friends and justice, and never lose sight of those balancing tools 'til you're firmly on stable ground once more!"
And a Strange Figure Emerges. One second, Fluttershy had just finished asking a Legion member about the next teleporter.
The next, she was in front of Gunner's house......and promptly fell forward when she found there was no console to put her weight on. She quickly got up looked around confirming that everyone is, indeed, back in the "hub" world of sorts. She was glad everyone was okay......but she was worried about Aile......
The pegasus was hopeful, however. Aile seemed like she could took of herself. It gave her some comfort. She trotted over to Grey. "I'm Aile will be fine," she assured Grey with a gentle smile.
Then the Tick gave his little speech. It was.......surprisingly wise. The pastel pony was really impressed! Again a perfect Friendship letter to send to Princess Celestia! And once again she silently cursed the lack of writing utensils and paper. She then looked over at Shotaro, waiting until Dubix switched over to the rider.
"I heard what Dubix said when Master Thomas revealed himself," she said to Shotaro uneasily. From her fidgeting and trying to look away from the hero, it was clear she was a bit nervous about saying her next words. "Um.....I.....really think you should be more assertive with him," she finally said. "I......I mean.......Dubix really sounded like he was supporting Thomas, and......um.......I would really appreciate it if you would.......um.......would actually takeover if he ever starts talking like that again." It would be clear her hesitation was from not wanting to hurt Shotaro's feelings and/or sound rude.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Stranger was never someone to be ignored that often, so it came as a surprise when the strange creature completely ignored his request. Growling, Stranger raised his fist, prepared to knock some sense into it, when he heard voices from outside. Stranger sneered at the girl before sprinting out and looking down over the battlements of the castle, spotting the strange group below.
"Well, looks like imma, get some answers afterall."
Leaping over the battlements, Stranger grinded his way down the wall, using his claws to slow his descent to a less lethal speed.
Jack blinked in surprise. One moment they had been at the moment of truth, prepared to do battle, the next...they were elsewhere. Or rather, they were someplace familiar. The samurai recognized Gunner's house, of course, and the rest of their surroundings. With a sigh, he put away his sword. The musings of his comrades, while instructive, seemed to him less important than the larger issues at stake here.
"Where is the one who brought us here?" he asked of the group at large. "I do not understand why we were sent back without having achieved any lasting effect and only he can explain matters."
A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving. -Lao Tzu

Rey looked around in surprise when they were abruptly back in the...hub, he guessed it was. He glanced down, finding the crowbar...once again whole, and sighed, reaching up to remove his helmet, looking around. "I'm really...really starting to hate this group of Nomads." He looked around a bit longer, turning and looking for everyone, frowning deeply as he seemed to be counting, then took a couple steps back, sighing. "Crap."
