Hisui once again tensed up as the crowd of people begin making their way to the door, and would've just stood there until the train started off to its next destination had Kohaku not grabbed her hand and rather forcefully dragged her out.

"Ahah, this is going to be so much fun, Hisui-chan~!" the elder twin laughed, as she pulled her sister towards the school building. "I've only ever read about this kind of school before, ufu~"

"A-ah... I as well, Nee-san," Hisui's quiet voice quivered. "I am... Still not sure what kind of challenge would involve simply going to a public school, but I am at least glad it will not be anything too stressful."

"Ahah, yeah. I wonder what our first class will be..." Kohaku pondered aloud.

That face again... Mehir passed through the portal, and immediately fell asleep. He had nightmares again. His breathing quickened; he must get away from that DharmaRhami... the evil Rhami chuckled and waved her earthenware cup, covering him in flames...

Mehir woke up with a start. He took a deep breath, and noticed that he felt... different. Some parts of him were missing, not least of them his beard, and he had a strange weight on his chest. Looking downwards, he noticed that his body was quite different.

First of all, apparently he was a girl. Why else would he have breasts, or feel nothing where his... piece of meat was?
Second, she wore a strange garment, something light and formless. That was weird...
Third and most worrying, she did not have any of his weapons on him. She hoped that she still had her Circle, and her other spells. Deciding to check that, she willed it into existence around her. Nothing.

Mehir began to feel more than a little scared. He was transformed into a girl, and into a weapon- and spell-less girl at that. She felt... weak, unprotected. Sighing, she got up from her bed and looked around the room she was in.

Oddly enough, it looked rather similar to his room back in Al-kajima, with the same embroidered rug, multitude of cushions and lack of decoration. It wasn't exactly the same, though, since it contained a large, wooden closet and its door wasn't like anything the genderbent Summoner has ever seen, being metal and highly polished.

Sighing again, she went to the closet and opened it. There was a mirror attached to the inner side of one of the doors. Mehir stared at it, mouth agape. Truly, this was a masterpiece of glass-work... never has he seen anything like it before. Then he noticed his appearance.

The girl staring back at him from the mirror was a little shorter than he normally was, but at least she still had his compact yet powerful frame. Except the (thankfully) medium-sized breasts, of course. She had long, black hair, and a long, thin face, not unlike his own, though (of course) without the beard. Her nose was straighter, too.

Sighing for the third time, she took the first clothes she found - unfortunately, they consisted of a standard seifuku... After a short while, she figured how to wear them, and did so. Then a voice called from behind the door: "Michiru dear, hurry up. You'll be late to school if you won't hurry up!"

Mehir startled. What? School? He was finished with his schooling years ago! She stood in her place, still staring at her reflection in the mirror. The door opened, revealing an elderly woman with long, white hair and a wrinkled face. "What's the matter? Are you ill?" she asked.

"..." Mehir stared at the woman. Surely his grandmother died years ago? It did not seems so, anyway, and the Summoner let her guide through the door and into the kitchen.

She sat down, munching on some dried fruit while she thought. After a while, her grandma looked at an old grandfather clock that was hung on one of the walls. "My, is it time already? Hurry up, Michi-chan, you don't want to be late, and at the first of school, at that... You do remember how to get there, right? It's just down the street. Your pack's near the door; off you go!"
Numbly, Michiru got up. Picking her pack up, she went through the door.

Thankfully, she did not have any problems getting to school. She walked toward the buildings, unsure which one was the one that she was supposed to go to, and bumped into Hisui. "Whoopsy," she said.

Byakuren, not willing to run whilst her hands were occupied, did the sensible thing and walked towards the elementary building, smiling slightly as the stream of students split up—first the high school students, heading to the largest building, and then the junior high—and the rush lessened. Hopefully, their teacher would be nice enough to let her keep Shou...

The sounds of clopping hooves could be heard approaching the school. Up to the gate, there was a carriage pulled by a pair large horses. Once it stopped, the doors opened, and out came a Fluttershy, her long, beautiful pink hair flowing through the wind.

What could be seen of her uniform was a solid green skirt, but the rest of it was covered by a large, thick, bright yellow turtleneck sweater. The girl was easily very tall, just over six feet, and to the envy of many of the female students a large, firm, healthy bust. After petting the horses, she hummed a merry tune as she strode towards the high school, with Angel bunny riding on her shoulder.

Despite being human, the high school Champions could easily tell that his tall vision of heavenly beauty was in fact the shy pastel pony they all knew and loved.

"A race? Um, we're already pretty close to the school."

As the groups filtered apart, Nanoha peered up at the elementary building. It was a small, sturdy building, and it was perfect for its intended purpose.

She headed inside, and decided just to follow the other champions and hope that they wound up at the same school room.

Meanwhile, the high school teacher who would be handling the first class prepared her desk. This was her first day on the job, as well, and she was a bit on the excited side.

It was a maid's duty to know where she was needed and be there at the right time, and so the twins almost instinctively found themselves at their classroom with plenty of time to spare.

"Good morning, senseeeiii~!" Kohaku yelled cheerfully as she burst through the door, one hand raised in greetings whilst the other continued to hold firmly onto Hisui's.

"Good morning, sensei," Hisui said in a quieter, more restrained voice than her sister. She bowed deeply towards the teacher. "I apologize if we are too early."

For a moment, Jack thought she spotted Nanoha among the younger children heading off to another part of the school. Then she was gone and Jack was only looking at ordinary children. She frowned. The idea is worth considering, certainly. I will have to expand my search. Once again, asking directions, she wended her way towards her first class.

The teacher, standing by her desk, was a bit of an odd sight.

For one thing, she was albino. White hair, red eyes, and paper-white skin. This was a rather striking feature, compounded by the other strange thing about her. The teacher was, at least in a appearance, a slender girl of no older then ten.

"Hello!" she greeted Kohaku cheerfully, "Please, take your seat, you're not too early at all."

Byakuren pushed open the door, walking ahead of Nanoha to arrive at the classroom. She promptly stepped out of the classroom upon arriving, trying to work out whether someone like that could actually be a teacher.

Teachers were rarely verging on seven feet tall and with lilac hair as long as they were tall. White leather was also normally out of the question for attire. The weirdest part was definitely the presence of a katana and a wakizashi on her desk, neatly sheathed and resting under the woman's hands.

At least the glasses looked academic enough.

"You look very nice as a human, Fluttershy." Celia said as she passed the tall girl on her way to class. Although it might be confusing as to how the nine-year old girl would even KNOW Fluttershy.

She was visibly taken back by the teacher's swords however, turning on her heel in an attempt to get away from them.

Kana wandered into class a few minutes early and bowed to her teacher.

"Sensei," she said, "good morning. My name is Kana Hasashi." Kana felt a bit out of place doing this- it was more appropriate as a ninja than as a little kid- but at least she was showing respect. "Those are some admirable swords, by the way."

With that, Kana took her seat and pulled out her pen, which was shaped a little like her rope and kunai, which, for the first time in years, she didn't have with her. She figured she'd have to find it later in the challenge.

Tick spotted the elegant chariot and the disembarking passenger. "Light pink hair, lemon yellow torso, nervous demeanour; if that isn't Fluttershy then I'm a pelican." She briskly caught up with her as they went down the corridor. "A hearty good morning from the Tick to Fluttershy! How's my favourite pegasus pony?"

Then she noticed the teacher. "Morning, Ms Teacher!"

Arthur peeked out. "Wow, they must be really lax about the teaching credentials in this world."

"Umm... you can all come in and sit down," the purple-haired teacher said, indicating the desks in front of her and doing her best to smile pleasantly. She seemed rather nervous, though. Much like with the high school students' teacher, this was her first job as a teacher and she was worried that she was going to mess it up. At least no-one had complained about the presence of the swords.

Byakuren obediently entered, opting for a chair near the back, by a window and as far away from anywhere that anyone would need to go as possible.

Hisui dutifully took her seat, and quietly waited for her sister to follow her. Kohaku, however, was staring rather dumbstruck at their teacher.

"...L-l-loli-sensei!" she exclamed, pointing dramatically at the little girl. "Loli-sensei! Loooliii-senseeeiii!"

"...Nee-san, please do not point so much. It is rather rude."

"But... But... Loli-sens-"

"Please take your seat, Nee-san." Hisui stared at Kohaku, her piercing gaze boring straight into her sister's soul. "Do not make a scene on out first day."

"...R-right. Sorry, Hisui-chan..." Kohaku sighed, and took a seat next to her sister.

-Elementary-

Nanoha entered the classroom, and was immediately confused by the teacher's appearance. And the presence of swords. "Um... good morning, Sensei..."

This was weird. But Nanoha didn't comment, instead going for a seat a little further forward then Byakuren, to the side. Their teacher had swords, right in the classroom?

-Highschool-

"Ah, everyone, take a seat!" the small albino girl said cheerfully. "Class will be starting pretty soon, and it's my first day, so I'm pretty excited, and-Um, oh, eh-heh, I started rambling..."

Kohaku's cries of 'loli-sensei' did not at all surprise the girl, it seemed. In fact, she giggled.

"I get that a lot," she replied.

Upon entering the classroom, Jack noticed two important things. The first was that one of the people who had already arrived looked like Kohaku and, given what had happened, most likely was. The second thing was that their instructor, or at least the person behind the teacher's desk, looked singularly unqualififed for the position. Jack raised an eyebrow, not knowing quite what to make of matters. She supposed she could only go along with it.

"Good morning, sensei," she greeted the white-haired girl, bowing. "My name is Jun Takahashi." She paused a second to consider. "But they call me Jack. I am pleased to meet you."

"Oops." Terrice said, seeing the rather large crowd of midgets passing by and realizing her mistake. It seemed that she was waiting outside the KIDS school, instead of the teenager's school that she was surely supposed to be going to. I'll just...go over there now. She thought with more than a touch of embarassment and began quickly walking to the right school.

On her way she saw Fluttershy pull up in an even more impressive vehicle than her uncle Ivan's. Grr. That is SO unfair! Why can't I be a princess?

Spotting Kohaku (or maybe it was her sister? GAH!) Terrice followed her to class and sat beside her. It wasn't until she had done this that the full impact of her previous thought sank in. MY MIIIIIIIIIIND! IT BURRRRRRRRRRNS! Why would I think that?! Agh!
