(MUCH earlier)

Seeing that Cletus was busy giving everyone medical attention he realised that they wouldn't be able to get to work crafting his new weapon right away. He chose to spend the time looking for beds for everyone because he was still feeling pretty tired.

(NOW) With the help of another peice of talking abstract art like he had seen in his first visit to the castle Tyrell managed to find the bedrooms successfully. Then he made his way back to the little gathering of champions just as The Tick began talking to some purple-haired guy about the challenges.

"Cletus, before you go could you hold onto these for me?" He said, handing him the two presents that Zebra had given him; "It doesn't look like it's the right shape to make an axe but maybe you could make it into a sword if possible? It would be easier to make a spear I'm sure but I don't know how to use those."

To The Tick he said: "Oh come on! It wasn't THAT bad.I liked it at least, even if no one else did. At the very least it was funny to hear you all whining about it. Anyway, I don't think that we've been introduced yet, have we sir?" He said to Jail; "I'm Tyrell, son of Garet and Nephew of Issac, two of the world famous Adepts who unsealed Alchemy and saved the world." After beating the rock golem earlier he was feeling in the mood to brag a bit.

I hope we haven't been introduced already or I'm gonna look foolish. There's just so many people to keep track of now, I've never seen so many people at once before.

"I am Metaluca Vi Rosenkreutz, owner of Edise Castle by deed and Her Empyrean Majesty's will." Gunner replied, seeing it as poor manners to not introduce oneself to one's guests.

"I regret not being much of a host for letting that... being appear so near the property and jeopardizing everybody's safety here." Gunner said, hiding her shaking hands behind her back.

Hisui looked shocked when Gunner revealed her full name, and bowed frantically in apology. "I apologize for so rudely referring to you in such an overly familiar manner, Rosenkreutz-sama," she said in almost a whimper, "I ensure you it shall not happen again."

"Ahah, it could've been worse, Hisui-chan," Kohaku cackled from behind. "You could have not even bothered to introduce yourself, ufu~"

With this remark, Hisui turned bright beet red. "Ah... Aaah... I apologize thoroughly. My name is Hisui. I am a maid employed by Tohno Akiha-sama to serve her brother Tohno Shiki-sama, as well as take care of the general wellbeing of the Tohno Mansion alongside Nee-san."

"And in case you didn't catch it earlier, I'm Kohaku-chan, the ever-lovable yet mysterious maid of mystery, ufufu~" Kohaku added, flashing a grin and issuing a peace sign.

Nanoha titled her head. This guy knew about her, and her 'nickname'? That meant he must know her somehow... 'The White Devil' nickname had spread very quickly throughout the TSAB after the Book of Darkness Incident. Nanoha didn't mind, though she did think it was a bit of an odd nickname, but that meant that this man must've been from her universe if he knew that.

She didn't have much of a chance to respond to that, though, when Byakuren started heading out, looking rather distressed. However, she seemed to calm down after the challenges were mentioned.

"Ohh, yeah..." Nanoha started, thinking a little. "I wonder what's next?"

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

"Do not be so worried. Rank is nothing within these halls, regardless of station. Especially when this unworthy one has no real power here, being the Inheritor of Nothing." Gunner said cryptically, a reassuring smile on her face.

Turning to Jail, she nodded. "The technology is indeed amazing, though I can barely do its name proud. I am still lacking in many things." The girl replied honestly, having not reached the venerable rank of Machinist yet. "And how is Nanoha a White Devil? She doesn't exhibit any signs that do that title justice."

After taking Tyrell's items, Cletus rolled his eyes at Gunner's self-deprecation.

"You're doing it again Metaluca. We don't care about your history or how you falsely believe you failed, we care about who you are as a person. You still need medical attention for your arm by the way."

Vile was sitting on top of a building somewhat annoyed by the converstions he was hearing, but now he somewhat knew what was going on. The drones had lauched a bug so he could hear what the castle's residents were talking about. "This should be an interesting little game. It only going to have one winner however, me. One way or another I shall kill everyone in that castle."

Vile stared at his arm which still had cracks and holes from his earlier fights with Chun Li. "The blue girl shall pay for harming me, but she is now only a secondary target. Metalheart has some good tech and it will serve me well to use it for myself." Vile stood up and looked at the castle. "I am the great Vile and soon you shall all know my power."

Fluttershy couldn't help but feel a hint of pride from Lita's words after finishing up the last of the Drowning Doom. She turned back to the Doctor. "Do not worry about that," Fluttershy said to the time lord. "Even if we are not here physically, always remember that your friends will always be with you in your heart."

She then though of something and floated up to Eddie, Lita, and Ophelia. "You said you needed help sealing the entrance to the sea?" Flutterhy asked. "Maybe I could help. I mean, if its okay with all of you...."

Kohaku wasn't too concerned with much at the moment, other than listening in on the others in case they said something came in useful later on. However, for some strange, inexplicable reason, she stared up into space, giggled, waved at nothing in particular and even blew a kiss and winked.

Oh my, you are a crafty little VAVA cosplayer, aren't you~? she thought, as she gazed up at the bug. But you can't out-scheme a schemer, silly~ She could have alerted the others, but no, she prefered it this way. This way, Vile would know she was on to him, and that she was his better. "You are welcome. I am glad that my inventions were able to help you." Gunner said, bowing back to Chun-Li. "It makes me happy that my work can help out people." She said, straightening back up and beaming.

"Mother is proud of us." The half hidden machines said simultaneously, purring synthetically.

Pausing, the Gunner's face reddened at the invention's usage of the word in front of the others. "In any case, please make yourselves comfortable in my home. I hope we can become better acquainted with each others for our stay here."

"Thank you, but I do not smoke. I will join you in wishing well to Ironheade, though. We have done great deeds this day and struck down this evil forever. The land will be safe, for a while, at least." He left unsaid the idea that new evils would come. It was not his place to spoil the mood. But Aku had returned when it was thought impossible.

Garland had been walking along the first floor, noting some similarities between the living conditions here and those in the Flying Fortress built by the ancient Lufenians, when he heard a noise from outside. He walked to the nearest window and peered out. Another unfamiliar figure was fleeing from the castle, whilst the others sheathed whatever wepons they had been carrying. He'd missed a battle. Pity. It could have taken his mind off

"You're possessed."

them. It had been a long time since he'd even had to think about them. But it had only recently hit him that without Shinryu around he was going to have to deal with them himself. He might as well start now. so he took a moment to check their status. He closed his physical eyes...

Somewhere within Garland's mind

...and opened his mental ones. Garland appeared to be seated on the throne at the deepest layer of the Shrine of Chaos. Like Chaos, in this place Garland possessed an additional pair of arms, reaching out of ripped holes in the shoulders of his armour. Each of the four arms held the end of a chain, the other end of each one tying up four monsters that dwelled in the corners of the chamber...

...a skeletal figure, draped in a purple robe and the stench of decay...

...a creature with the body and head of a woman and the tail of a snake in the place of legs, each of her six arms holding a sword...

...a humanoid blue octopus, using it's tentacles as legs, also robed in purple...

...and the largest, a blue-grey dragon with six heads.

The four of them were asleep, as usual. However, they slept on their feet, which was a change. He could only assume that they were beginning to stir again, which meant that for the first time since the Warrior of Light and his three companions had slain him, he would be hearing their voices once more soon. That wasn’t likely to be a good thing.

Gunner’s Castle, The Crystal City

Garland returned his attention to the physical world. He resolved to keep a tight grip on the chains he’d managed to put them in since Shinryu had put them to sleep, and to try and cut back on magic to avoid disturbing them too much. Their voices had been annoying while they were there, and he wasn’t keen to have them back.

He came across an elevator. Walking in, he spent a moment studying the labels for each floor before choosing to ascend to the Armoury on the sixth floor. Being around weapons might calm his nerves.

Nanoha was a bit surprised when she was picked up suddenly, and made an attempt to protest. She didn't actually want to sleep this time, after all, and she was a bit more awake then she had been before. "Um, no, Hisui-san, I-"

"Please do not be stubborn, Takamachi-san," Hisui replied, cradling the young girl gently in her arms. "A growing girl like you needs plenty of rest to stay strong, after all."

The maid herself knew well how an active girl of Nanoha's age could easily overdo herself. She'd often found herself instantly falling asleep after a long day's play with Akiha-sama, Shiki-sama and SHIKI-sama, and from what she'd heard so far Nanoha had been through far more activity in the past few hours than her childhood self had in a whole day.

"Indeed there is. Nanoha can use the Princess' room again, like before." Gunner's expression turned matronly as she beheld Nanoha's conditions. "Nanoha, you are young. You will need your rest. However, I will not force you to, as the choice is yours." She told the girl, not moving from her spot until she heard the mage's decision.

As Garland ascended into the Armory, he would beheld what appeared to be a vast stockpile of weaponry. They ranged anywhere from old fashioned weapons like swords and spears to newer ones, like firearms. There were even wands and staves, as well as giant crosses, scythes, and what looked like a line of totem poles, the brightly expressive faces staring out at whoever walked in the room. One could even see cannons, tanks, and helipaks armed with machine guns put on display.

It was rather divided by weight and size, the beginnings of the room handguns, which grew into rifles, swords, axes, spears, halberds, and many more things. At the end of the chambers were an elevated stand of weapons which were displayed inside a cube, though various runes, seals, locks, and enchanted words were layered upon it. The tools within the cage glowed an iridiscent purple, looking very much like a pair of swords carved from violet stone with strange wordings upon it.
