"Doc, do NOT make me come over there."
Despite the apparent threat, it was clear Rey was more or less ignoring the Doctor's antics...either he was used to them or he was more interested in the workings of the place they were currently in, as his gaze stayed on the action towards the top of the area.
Easing back into life one step at a timeTyrell just stared in shock. He had just gotten to Valhalla (maybe?) and he definately wasn't expecting Ragnarok to come so soon. He couldn't think of anything to do or say other than:
"We're all gonna die. Again. I'm not ready."
He slowly and then with increasing speed moved backwards and then turned around. Running to the far side of the room he said in a defeated monotone:
"Should we run? Where are the exits?"
"Ahh..." Link gave a small, involuntary gasp as he backed up, alarm in his blue eyes. This was too much like the walls of Twilight that he had encountered, menacing, impenetrable and stretching to the sky...
But Twilight didn't consume everything in its path.
He had to yell over the deafening roar of the twisted, crushed stone and metal being sucked into the void. "Everyone! We have to get out of here! Now!!!" There was a flash of light - then Wolf Link bounded forwards, running in the complete opposite direction to the wall of destruction, before realizing that there was a wall in their way. They had to get out of here. Somehow.
Please, Goddesses, let us escape. Transforming once again, he held out his silver bow, pulling back the string and causing another Silver Arrow to materialize, willing it - no, praying for it to work.
As if in answer to his prayers, a bright spark ran through the shaft, shining like a bright star, before reaching the tip with a chime. He let go, and it spiraled toward the wall, exploding in a bright flash of white light and blowing it outwards in a shower of rubble.
He gave a sigh of relief. "Thank the Goddesses."
"Come on, let's go!" He changed back to his Wolf Form and dashed through the hole with a growl.

"W-W-What's going on?!" Fluttershy said when the tremors started to occur. But the the sheer wall of energy that was consuming everything in front of them. She screamed in fright* . "Oh no, what is that...?" she futilely asked, slowly backing away. Then in a panic, she started to gallop - *WOOSH* - accidentally and conveniently falling into the hole Link made.

DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Chun-li concentrated and transformed into her Ferrari vehicle mode.
"Weird," Chun-li mused to herself, as she drove after the others. "It's almost like driving a car with your mind."

Wizard Needs Food BadlyAntroz let the shadow blast fade as he slowly drained away its power away.
one of those going off at the wrong time could ruin your day forever....
Antroz stood at the back of the group silently observing the person pointing his gun at them.
How interesting, there seems to be no end to what this strange place can produce.
Xigbar, having dodged and survived the attack, randomly appeared alongside his fellow champions, albeit grumpy from being seperated from the fight. He looks around and decides to hang around with Rey some more, hoping he could lead him to something interesting.
[DATA LOST]— Pillager transformed into his flight mode, putting as much thrust as he could into reaching his master's citadel. Megatron must be secured from this disaster. The only directive that occurred to him now. —
— Many lances whipped out, grappling onto Nanoha's shield. White static-like distortion buzzed over them, and the mage inside would begin to feel a precipitous drop in temperature. For a moment more, the tendrils grasped and wriggled, attempting to break the shield. Then, they were withdrawn. The black thing of fibres disengaged itself from the now petrified willow, swaying over Nanoha bonelessly.

High, higher even than the clouds, Grey and those with him would see perched on many of these nimbuses stately white and grey stone buildings, both tall and short, seemingly in complete defiance of gravity. The sound of engines became audible to him, and grew steadily louder as he went along. Something blue, white, and slender was racing through the clouds beneath them, tilting its beaked head to look up.
The flyer appeared to wave lazily at them, before moving deeper into cloud cover. Very suddenly, the "ground" beneath all of the buildings detonated, sending those structures plummeting to the lands below, streaming small clouds from where they had cracked.
The moment these "cloud banks" met solid ground, they flew apart, and from their ruin immediately rushed out dark grey clouds like sudden fog across the ground, engulfing everything in their path. Such a fate befell the castle and its gardens, a central turret smashed to pieces, and cloud covered quickly the bastion's interior.
Whispers and shouts, grievously distorted and in a dozen different languages, came from the moisture soaked air, barely coherent to any who were alive (in one form or another) to hear them.
Then the sky where cloud met cloud turned black. Engines hummed, growled, and roared. Vast curtains of black stuff flowed from these apertures, onto tree, roof, and person, quickly separating into man-sized bundles. The whispers and shouts grew louder, more intelligible, laughter at times joining them in either merriment or malice. From this blackness screamed dozens, then hundreds of craft, ranging from gunships and transports to fighter planes. Where Grey was, the blue entity rose up ten meters in front of him, arms folded, eyes black as the cold deeps of space staring directly into his own. The keening whistle of jets became deafening as dozens of green and red-armoured entities resembling the Reploids of centuries past
◊ rose up behind the blue one, wrist cannons aimed at Grey and his companions. They all fired, and suddenly Grey was made to be alone, nothing but cinders remaining of the others. The blue one's head rocked back.
Down below, the wide variety of uniformed things moved. And if something was alive nearby when they did so, within seconds it would cease to be. Bullets and energy blasts snarled through the foggy air in every which way, the smell of blood, gunpowder, fear, and things set alight making it all barely breathable. Those who had time to react with magic held their own for a time, before becoming overwhelmed by numbers or excessive firepower. Wherever the killing was finished, the things moved on, leaving some of their number behind to hold ground and scavenge for armed bodies. Across the world of Xanth, on every island and continent, this was happening. Soon, the very atmosphere would fill with stench of atrocity and war.
The thing looming over Nanoha leaned forward, gesturing at the Vita-men as they were jumped by at least a full company of uniformed abominations, at their lead a monstrously huge figure in spiked red power armour, his chainsword tearing through one of the unfortunate warriors.

"He could not know it. For it was not all a joke."Rey shook his head, walking along the shelves of the apparent library, glancing over each of the books or other methods of information as he walked, frowning somewhat as he continued to take it all in. "This place is amazing...but it does have a certain quality of...foreboding to it."
Easing back into life one step at a time"It is said that the Vashta Nerda are swarms of countless creatures that resemble living shadows," said Mehir. "They are able to strip your flesh from your bones in seconds; that, at least, is what the Doctor told me when he... chanced upon my home."
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Nanoha looked down for several moments. These things... they were monsters. Worthless, brutal monsters. They weren't like anything Nanoha had faced before. They weren't even alive.
That meant Nanoha would have no problem with what she was about to do.
"Axel Fin," intoned Raising Heart. The wings spread out from Nanoha's shoes, and she shot up into the air. Her expression was not one of unbridled rage, though it was certainly an angry one. It was focus. Plain and simple.
"No."
She pointed Raising Heart downwards, not just at the dark fibre creature, but every single monster below her.
"Cartridge Load!"
There was a clanking and shifting sound as part of Raising Heart, near the base of the staff head, moved and slotted a new cartridge into place. She confimred her aim, and all at once the ball of rosey magical energy built up again. The ball this time, however, was even bigger. The magical circle and Nanoha's feet spun slowly as she took a deep breath.
"Divine..."
The sphere hit full size.
"BUSTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"
With a tremendous roar, the magical energy was unleashed all at once in a coursing beam of respledent destruction. Anything below would be faced with utter eradiction, including the ground beneath.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

"Two negatives equals a positive! You just did a Freudian Slip! You do believe there is Vashta Nerada!"
