"Oh no, you two?" Fluttershy said when she noticed Cletus sparking with an electrical - *BZZZT* - she squeaked in pain after a jolt of electricity spark through her head. She shook off pain when the group was suddenly blocked by.....
"Shotaro.....?" she almost whispered. Almost immediately she knew something was wrong, besides the fact that the Kamen Rider now look sort of like a smaller version of Roadbuster and Wreck-Gar's people and half of his body was green. His voice was harsh, his posture commanded not authority but dominance.....he did not even recognize Fluttershy at all.......
"No....n-n-no...." she whispered. "Everyone, we have to run!" she said to the group.
Then Roadbuster charged straight at for Dubix. "ROADBUSTER, DON'T!!" she cried out!

DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Rey blinked a few times. "We need to find six rings to find the 'Swell Foop' so that we can save...gravity...and the zombies are the only ones who can get us there." There was a brief pause, then he reached up, pinching the bridge of his nose. " Por supuesto, eso tiene sentido. "*

Easing back into life one step at a timeThis all seemed a bit on the confusing side to Nanoha. As in completely and utterly baffling. Demon Earth? Needed to keep gravity around? Wasn't gravity just a natural thing? Naturally, at this point in her schooling she didn't know too much about physics and the actual mechanics of gravity, but everyone knew that gravity was just a natural thing. There wasn't anything that kept it around, it was just there.
"Um... wait... so... gravity disappears if this demon isn't around?" Nanoha asked.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Xanth
"You mean you've never heard of the Demon Earth?" asked the girl centaur incredulously. "Don't you know that he tried to kidnap the Demon Xanth a few months ago to try to steal our land's magic?"
"The Demons- the big D demons, that is-" Che chimed in- "compete endlessly among themselves for status, sometimes using mortals as pawns. Each Demon controls a specific aspect of the universe, and if one of them is kidnapped or incapacitated their power will slowly fade. Humfrey told Cynthia that the Swell Foop is the only thing that is capable of controlling Demons."
"Yeah, and this stupid swelled poop is keeping me from marrying Justin," grumped Brianna, a miniature thundercloud forming over her sullen face. "It takes me so long to nail him down, and now he gets a reprieve?"

Elsewhere.
Space and time are mutable things. Maybe in one universal cluster the laws of physics are governed by strange and competitive creatures who while away the years, but in many other universes these same laws come from very different sources. And space and time are not as fixed as many think. After all, to a being with great knowledge of the universe, the folds and warps of space that go unnoticed can be easily traversed, by people, or by signals.
Not long before the portals opened, one such signal, sent by a machine on its last legs, had been beamed out, passing between dimensions, backwards and forwards across time and space, before, after quadrilions of years (or was it merely a few seconds?) Something- or rather, several somethings picked it up, much to their utter surprise...
" Peculiar." said one, his voice passive as he observed the garbled footage, of memories and images jumbled together into a strange and confusing mess. " In what multiversal cluster did this originate?"
" Unknown." said another one- presumably the one who had intercepted the mysterious transmission in the first place. " The images appear to be from multiple sources; perhaps it was the fault of the machine in the first place?"
" True. None of these creatures could possibly have known about this world. But how did they get there? A cursory analysis reveals that they seem to have come from a wide variety of universal clusters. Only some kind of convergence could bring them there. Or, more likely-"
" No. The foolish games have been stopped. And the Nomads, imbecilic and shortsighted as they are, are surely aware of the danger that these abandoned planets pose. Why would they risk genocide, even in the name of entertainment?"
" Idle speculation will get us nowhere. Continue to monitor the situation. Observe and report, before categorizing."
" Understood..."

Palm struck face quickly, managing to muffle whatever sound of annoyance Rey had been about to make whilst the girl was pouting over the delay of a wedding while the laws of physics were destroying themselves.
Easing back into life one step at a time"Steal your magic...?" Nanoha was a bit less confused about that one. After all, she'd only recently experienced Linker Cores being stolen, even her own was almost completely depleted before healing itself. The same thing happened to Fate... That didn't explain just about everything else. This definitely wasn't like earth at all. This place was weird. Very, very weird.
She decided not to think on all the strangeness too hard, as much as she wanted to ask several dozen questions about it all.
"So we're going to get the Earth guy back using the swell thing?" she asked.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up.""Well," said Che, in response to the Doctor's question, "not all Demons are bad. The Demon Xanth provides Xanth with all its magic, after all. Of course, some of the other, little-d demons can be somewhat annoying, like the demon M-"
"Yoo-hoo!" came a voice as a cloud of smoke appeared behind the centaur. "Did I hear my cognomen?"
"Not her..." muttered Breanna softly as she saw the cloud appear.
"Your what?" asked Che, somewhat confused.
"Autonym, alias, eponym, designation, epithet-"
"Name?"
"Whatever," the smoke agreed crossly.
Lux was too baffled to do much than follow Rey numbly. Her scholarly mind shut down upon the first glance of the Pie Tree, and she has been on autopilot ever since, one hand loosely latched onto Rey's arm and eyes staring ahead to some unknown point.
"YAY-YEEEAAAHHHH!" rang out an obnoxious modulated voice, cut short by a heavy impact against the ground behind the group listening to the explanation of Demons and physics. Out of the resultant crater a small yellow robot propped itself up on its arms. "Hey! Gravity still works for me!" Somehow this basic fact of life made the robot indignant, and this quality showed through in his angry tone.
Behind the yellow robot a young boy trudged up to the crater, eyes downcast and muttering something about how little sense everything made. He helped the robot to his feet, but froze on a comically alarmed expression as soon as he caught sight of the zombies. "Woah" the robot muttered under what would be his breath, and held a double barreled gun-arm up to the assembled crowd.
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?"Ehhhhh?" Nanoha was hopelessly confused, a fact quite clearly displayed on her face. Now there was a cloud of smoke shouting random words that had apparently come from someone saying something.
"Um..." Nanoha found there was nothing she could think of to say about this situation.
And now there was a robot. It didn't look like the robots Nanoha had seen before, the ones that had been guarding Precia Testarossa's massive fortress-like ship. It was a great deal smaller, for one thing, but still humanoid-looking.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Rey turned to look at the robots, then shifted his gaze to Luxanna, allowing the slightest chuckle when he saw her expression, and reached down, taking her hand and squeezing it lightly, offering a slightly encouraging smile. "I know this is all insanely stupid, but it can't be worse than what happened the first time you let me practice with your light saber."
Easing back into life one step at a time"-like I was saying," said Che, a little miffed, "Demoness Metria, who delights in bothering mortals."
The cloud of smoke congealed and solidified, eventually forming into a dusky, jaw-droppingly beautiful woman, wearing a somewhat revealing dress. "And what the bleep are these people?" she asked, looking at them. "They don't look anything like Xanth folk; they look unseasoned."
"They what?"
"Idiosyncratic, atypical, peculiar, alien, abnormal-"
"Strange?" asked Justin.
"Whatever. The point is, why the bleep are they here?"
Nanoha looked up at the woman, and then back to the robot, then to the woman again. At the moment, the robot seemed to make more sense then the woman did. She had at least encountered robots before, and not what was apparently a demon. Or something. She was very confused at the moment.
"Um... I don't really know why we're here, but this place is really weird," she replied, looking up at the demon woman.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Dubix grabs Roadbuster by the tusks and holds him still.
"MAXIMAL! YOU WILL STAND DOWN WHILE I JUDGE YOU! JUDGMENT TIME!" Dubix said as soon, a red X on his left eye and a blue O on his right eye begin to flash. Each sign blinking after the other flashed for a second. Soon, both eyes flashed with red X's.
" GUILTY!" Dubix said as he began to lift Roadbuster. He then looks at Fluttershy.
"Fluttershy..." Shotaro muttered inside Dubix's body. Dubix didn't echo Shotaro's words, but proceeded to chuck Roadbuster at Fluttershy. "NO! STOP!" Shotaro said, but Dubix didn't listen as he threw Roadbuster at Fluttershy. "STOP!" Shotaro tried to protest to Dubix, but the robot ignored his pleas.
Grey, who had thus far been politely listening to these nutters' insane explanation of how their world's gravity worked, wheeled around when he heard the chaos behind them. Raising his busters on pure instinct, he lowered them again when he realised that they were probably just more poor souls dragged into this.
"...A mechaniloid?" he said questioningly, trying his best to figure out who these people were. "Why's it hanging out with some kid?"
" I dunno, Grey, but I don't think that's a mechaniloid. It certainly doesn't resemble any mechaniloids we've seen before," replied Model A.
"I guess you're right..." mumbled the reploid, shrugging in defeat.
Locking you up on radar since '09Dubix sidesteps away from the kick and lifted his right arm at the leafhopper as it shifted from an arm to a long cannon. The cannon's hole glowed with a yellow light.
"No! Stop!" Shotaro said. While it didn't echo out of Dubix, the light dimmed in the cannon hole until it was gone completely.
"..." Dubix didn't know why he lost the cannon's charge. He simply lowered the arm as it transformed back. "YOU ARE LUCKY. YOU SEEMED TO HAVE DISABLED MY CANNON. I SHALL GO BACK FOR REPAIRS, BUT I WILL BE BACK WITH REINFORCEMENTS FOR MAXIMUM PUNISHMENT." Dubix said as he transformed back into his bike and drove away from the Maximals.

No sooner had Dubix left than the distant roar of a jet's engines became audible; were the Champions to look to the horizon, they might see a tiny speck of gold and green in the air between two of the city's towering skyscrapers, this minuscule dot growing rapidly larger and the howling of its powerful enginges getting steadily louder as it streaked towards them at supersonic speeds...
The Danse Macabre Codex

In Xanth
"You see," began Justin, addressing the group, "the Good Magician Humfrey recently informed us that the Demon Earth had been kidnapped. He relates to gravity, which is vital on Earth and very convenient in Xanth."
The blue bird squawked something, which caused Breanna to wheel around and glare at him. "I knew that, birdbrain!"
"It seems that the Demon Earth has been abducted or somehow confined, and with him the force of graity will fade. We are trying to find the Swell Foop, which can be done only by the use of the Six Rings of Xanth, which are also hidden. Only the zombies know their locations, so it falls to them to guide us."

"Ya want ta judge me?" growled Roadbuster, snorting and pawing the ground as he lowered his head. "Why don't ya judge this?!" Like a hairy locomotive, he ploughed towards the bike, gaining momentum rapidly.
