"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Well, he thinks that Mayo Chiki's usage of Abuse Is Okay When It Is Female on Male is humorous, so I don't know.
Watch SymphogearGood job talking about the actual topic..........and not nitpick details like getting an actor wrong.
The only ones not okay with it is you and one other person...
As for Chris Tucker...eh, he and Will Smith look the same. Don't expect me to remember the names of actors unless it's Johnny Depp(the Edward Scissorhands guy) or Jackie Chan(the guy whose kung-fu movies used to be good when he did his own stunts).

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Common mistake, guy. The resemblance
is uncanny.
Answering your last question: The Boondocks, starting with season 3, was jointly animated by Mad House.
Nah, Signed isn't a troll. He really does just have poor taste, sadly.
I'm actually kind of glad he isn't a troll, though, as although I pretty much never agree with his idea of what a good anime is, he's a nice enough guy and I like having him around.
I think the better question is will it ever work out, and if so consistently, than asking whether it has worked out in the past, though. If I had to pick a time that a Hollywood anime adaptation actually worked, I'd have to go with Speed Racer. I never saw it myself, but I've heard good things about it from some; I think it has a bit of a cult following these days.

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.^...you don't like Ghibli films like Howls Moving Castle?
^^ Didn't like The Boondocks...I don't care if people who don't like The Boondocks are called racists, I still don't like it. The style, the opening, the way they talk, that kid's hair.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Of course I do, although Howls Moving Castle is kind of a bad example as the book blows it out of the water.
I didn't mean that everything you liked was bad, Signed, just most of it.
Okay, I'll admit, the book definately had a lot of things that it did better...and I was pissed that Miss Angorian wasn't in the movie especially since it took out The Reveal.
But...even the author liked it, so it's fine I guess.
Though I'll admit my tastes are often subject to YMMV. But in my defence...many of the things I like, I like because of their controversies and hilarious reactions prudes give regarding it...until I read deeper in, and then I realized the controversial stuff I like is actually pretty damn good.
^ Anime, or every single media in existence? Because there's quite a list...and I'm bound to miss some...

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."sigh....let's see.......................starting with anime...
- Bleach (though it doesn't help my case that Tousen is my least favourite characters, he's such a DOUCHE...but Youruichi is cool)
- Hayate No Gotoku (forgot the girl's name)
- Dragon Ball has some blacks in it...
- Tiger And Bunny
PS - Egyptians are black...right?
- the short amount of time I played Mortal Kombat 9 I liked it...Cyrax was black, and he's a character in Mortal Kombat 9. I immediately got bored of the game after finishing the story and seeing all the fatalities.
- Resident Evil 5 had black characters, heroes and villains.
- Diablo2 had 2 black characters...hated one of them because he was BALD and UGLY and......boring to play, seriously, if I wanted a warrior I'd play Barbarians
- I think Street Fighter had black characters, and I liked Street Fighter.
- there's some black NP Cs in Arc Rise Fantasia
- theres the option to make your PC's skin black in Monster Hunter Tri
- Final Fantasy....something
- the SC Vs in Star Craft were black...and I liked Star Craft
Movies:
- ......ignoring the story, I enjoyed the action scenes in The Matrix...and The Matrix have black characters
- Under World has some black werewolves
- I think one of characters in The Dark Knight was black
- you know, if I list each and every single movie that has black characters in it at the same time I liked, I'll be here all day....
........wait, why am I listing everything I like!?! I'll be here all day.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."You're right about The Dark Knight. You're probably thinking of the Scary Black Man who looked like he was going to blow the other boat up and then chucked the detonator off the ship instead.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone....oh, I was thinking of that other guy who blew up a series of computer batman was using to connect all the cellphones together.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Oh yeah, he was actually a main character too. I forgot about him for some reason. That's Morgan Freeman as... um, I forget his name. Batman's technology guy.

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone. It's a Bat Man movie. There are only 3 names you remember. Bat Man, Bruce Wayne, and Heath Ledger's Joker.
Back on-topic! Hollywood + Anime. There are potentials, and I wish all companies to do well, but the odds are stacked against this company. Especially if they try to make anime appeal to an "international community".

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."

Apparently some new company designed to collaborate with Hollywood is being set up.
Opinions?
For me...
And lastly...
I'm not that great with economics, but...does anyone find this a bit...unrealistically optimistic? Whether it turns out good or bad, how much time does it take to make just one well animated movie? And how much ease/difficulty do animated movies have becoming blockbusters? Animated movies that aren't made by household name companies that is.
PS - how many anime out there are collaborations between an anime company and a western company? There might be some I actually enjoyed...
