"Well, If I'm any guess, I'd say 76 times, or when you start geting creative on your kills. That's about the point where I just say screw it and I just leave..." Komachi answered bluntly as she put her scythe firmly place on her back.

Marisa regarded the fireball in Mokou's hand for a few moments, before recalling just what the immortal was talking about. That night, the night where the moon had been stolen. She'd be tasked with 'assasinating' Mokou after defeating Kaguya. Of course, there was no way to assasinate Mokou, but it was the thought that counts.

"Oh, that," Marisa said, shrugging. To her, it was just another fun duel, no big deal.

"'Oh, that'? That? Do you know how many times I died that night because you idiots listened to the princess!" Mokou shouted, fire lighting up her other hand. "Eight of you! Eight! You all went to the princess, you all listened to her desire to kill me for simply existing!"

"Do you know how many times I died in that one night because you all listened to Kaguya?" The white-haired girl continued, rant showing no signs of stopping. "You all agreed to kill me for doing nothing other than existing! She's always trying to kill me and I her, and then you idiots have to come and get involved!"

A mini Suwako landed on Marisa's shoulder. "What are you talking about?" Mini-Suwako whispered to Marisa.

"I don't think so." Normal Suwako said to Patchy. She wondered what incident it was called they were remembering, but regardless spoke her mind. "I can always break it up if needed. Or splash them, whatever those people want at the moment."

Marisa shrugged again. She personally didn't see the big deal. If you could just come back whenever you died, what was the problem? It's not like they had permenantly killed her, that would've been something to be angry about. This? This was nothing.

"What's the big deal?" Marisa said. "You were perfectly fine afterwords."

There's was a moment's pause when she felt something on her shoulder, and heard a small voice whipser in her ear.

"... Eh?"

Flandre listened to Mokou ranting and clapped in amusement. "Oh, I wish I had been there to attack you as well!"

Patchouli glanced at the mini-Suwako. She whispered, "Er... since when have you been able to do that?"

Quite a colourful cast had gathered by now. A shinigami, an immortal human, and someone completely unknown and unimportant. This Incident was drawing quite the crowd.

That didn't matter much to Yuuka though. The kids wanted an answer to a question.

"Call me Yuuka," The flower youkai offered sweetly, patting the ice fairy on the head affectionately. "And in answer to your question... Well, most creatures simply can't heal from certain amounts of damage." Yuuka glanced at Flandre. "I know what you mean, Flandre. I used to express pure joy when I made things stop moving."

Yuuka sighed heavily. Oh, that was long, long ago now... back when she was considered wild and crazed even by her own standards. "Cirno, many creatures aren't like fairies. Death means the end for them. Once their bodies break, everything stops working. It's generally a bad thing, as well."

Shujiko stared at the people before her in wonder. Such a varied cast of characters... just who were they all? It was impossible to believe Shujiko wouldn't recognise any of them, considering their reputations, but Shujiko never really took interest in the current goings-on. Hell, there were certain occasions where she struggled to even remember her own name! One thing was for sure, though: Shujiko could feel a sense of great power, as if grouping them all together somehow displayed their strengths. A flicker of excitement shown in Shujiko's eyes as Mokou challenged a witch, hoping to see a display of great power from either of them. That excitement quickly dimmed when she saw how angry Mokou was, though. Whatever her history was with these people, it wasn't pleasant.

"What's the big deal? The big deal? This is between Kaguya and me! You should have stayed the hell out of it!" Mokou shouted back, desire for vengeance somehow having drifted from the pain involved to a mix of jealousy and loss. Not that the pain wasn't a significant portion of it, of course, she didn't really care that Kaguya hadn't been available, it was just that it seemed wrong for someone else to be involved...

"But... why is everything solved by fighting if some people won't be able to play afterwards?" Cirno asked, still mentally considering danmaku to be playing rather than actually fighting. It was probably a view possessed by most people who were in no real danger. Apart from Mokou, of course, she appeared to take everything seriously.

Marisa's mini-suwako swung around her back and landed on Marisa's other shoulder, just to mess with her.

"I said, You guys have a history? When did this happen? The long Winter incident, the party incident, that makai incident? I can't remember what incident this was from."

The mini-suwako on patchy responded to her question. "It's a god thing, it's just another little trick I can pull off." Mini-suwako said. "Being one, I can split myself indefinitly, and alter myself in any way I like."

A even smaller mini-Swuako popped out from the mini-suwako's hat. "See?" Said an almost comical squeaky voice.

Marisa was a bit confused by Mokou's seemingly unprovoked ranting. She didn't quite get it. The fight had been fun, and Mokou was perfectly fine, completely capable of continuing her battles with Kaguya. What was the problem? And then there was what sounded like a miniture Suwako on her shoulder. That was odd.

"You can just keep fighting her, I thought our fight was fun," Marisa replied, drifting over a little on her broom. She would've replied to the miniture Suwako, but this whole two conversations at once thing was fairly inconvienient.

"So you reproduce by budding." Patchouli raised an eyebrow.

Flandre nodded. "See Yuuka-chan, we're very alike in many ways. But why do you say used to? Do you no longer like making things stop moving?" Then she responded to Cirno, or more accurately interjected her own opinion. "I play too, but sometimes I want to do more than just play!"

"I believe the spell card rules were invented to circumvent that," Yuuka answered, then remembered that Cirno may not know what the bigger words meant. "Basically, the spells you use in a fight, those should never kill. Sure, they can hurt, but the other person should still move afterward."

Another gentle smile from Yuuka. "so, don't worry about danmaku, it shouldn't be considered dangerous enough to make someone stop moving forever."

Turning her head to Flandre, Yuuka began to recall memories from quite a while ago, way back when she changed her mind about the whole thing. "Let's just say... it began to hurt me, when I stopped others from moving."

"You didn't have to go through the pain of dying a dozen times in the space of ten minutes!" Mokou said, fire now forming phoenix wings that made it abundantly clear what she was now planning to do regardless of the direction the conversation took. "Plus you interfered! This is our fight! Everyone else should stay the hell out, you don't know what it's like!"

"Not even things like Ice Crusher, or freezing someone's danmaku on top of them?" Cirno asked, curious. Marisa didn't appear to have suffered overly much from the freezing but, well, she was Marisa: whenever the two fought—and it had happened at least three times—Marisa got away none the worse for wear.

"... Mokou?" Shujiko would have been awed at Mokou's wings of fire, but she was too busy with the growing concern rising within her. Mokou was definitely pissed. And for some reason, it bothered Shujiko. She didn't want to see Mokou's power if it brought anguish.

Without really thinking about what she was doing, Shujiko pointed to the witch, that person Mokou was currently arguing with. "I think you should apologise." Shujiko stated bluntly.

"That's right! As long as the fall under spell card regulations, they aren't lethal." Yuuka nodded. "It's quite convenient, I must say. Anyone could theoretically unleash their full might on someone and their target wouldn't need more than a day or two of rest!"

Firey wings? That was a bit of an issue. But a fight was always fun, a danmaku duel was bound to be a blast. And as always, Marisa was sure that she was going to win. She folded her arms, grinned...

... And finally lost her balance, which had already worn down since she'd changed position so much. As she fell backwards, inevitably colliding with Patchouli, her broom fell to the ground and she hissed a very foul word indeed through her teeth.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

Patchouli stoically pushed Marisa back, away from her. Or tried to, anyways. She was so weak she couldn't manage it, and she collapsed under Marisa's weight so that both ended up falling hard onto the ground. "Both of you. Get a hold of yourselves and stop fighting... Ow..." She rubbed her back tenderly, it was protesting the impact.

Flandre was slightly confused. "It hurt you? Why? Did the people you did bad things to do bad things back before you made them stop moving?"

Let's see... how best to explain this... Yuuka wondered. "Hm... Let's put it this way: How would you feel if you hurt your sister, or anyone in your home, really badly? Would it make you feel bad? Would it make your chest constrict?"

Shujiko blinked in surprise as Marisa fell onto someone who looked to be made of purple. That witch seemed pretty klutzy, Shujiko thought, but that wasn't going to get her out of apologising for her wrong doing.

"Nothing more to say? Fine then!" Mokou said, quieter and eyes almost literally burning with a malicious flames. "Immortal 'Fire Bird ~Flying Phoenix~'!"

The immortal raised her arms and then brought them swinging down, a bird of flame launching itself at Marisa as the limbs were lowered... along with fireballs being flung in pretty much every direction. At least it was still within the spell-card rules, the plants were in little to no danger.

"So... why don't people fight for fun more often, if it's completely harmless?" Cirno wondered, ignoring the chaos unfolding somewhere behind her.

"Some did, some didn't." Suwako threw in. "For me it was they just wouldn't surrender and submit to me. Which then lead me to killing them. But that was a very long time ago. A friend showed me otherwise and changed me for the better."

And then Mokou attacked.

Suwako formed a little ball of water in her hand. No spellcards, just real power.

"And then you have some idiots who just cause trouble anyway."

With that, Suwako unleashed a massive wall of water right around Mokou, eating up her pheonix and rushing right towards her.

"Cool down Phoenix girl! No need to fight like a pair of Nine-balls" Suwako said.

The moment the spell card fired, Marisa shot to her feet, and off of Patchouli, lept onto her broom, and expertly dodged, grinning like she always did in a fight. She snagged a spell card out of one of her pockets, pulled it out... and was drenched by a wall of water from Suwako.

"..."

Flandre shook her head. "I would never attack them and they would never attack me, so we couldn't make one another's chests hurt. And besides, I prefer crushing the neck. Why would I try to crush someone's chest? It's too large to get a hand around properly." She was able to block the ongoing fight due to her focus on Yuuka, which was probably a good thing for all involved.

Meanwhile, Patchouli had recovered. "Thank you, Suwako-san."

"Not going to play by the rules, then?" Mokou snarled, turning to glare at the god and appearing to be on the verge of attempting to immolate the entire clearing and everyone in it. There was a reason for the spell-card rules, after all. "Stay the hell out of this, whoever you are! This doesn't concern you!"

Marisa just remained in mid-air, dripping wet. That was a shame, that duel could've been fun! Besides, it had been a little while since Marisa's last danmaku duel... okay, not all that long, but a new one would've been exciting. She drifted back, nearly bumped into Patchouli again, and raised the spell card again.

"Hey, Fujiwara!" she called, her grin coming back. She wasn't going to let this duel go that easily.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."
