Ah; looking at the way that they're saying that it is two seasons, I'm guessing that they mean two-cour here. That makes sense then; this series wouldn't make sense at thirteen episodes long.
deviantArt | TwitterOh yeah, this show is definitely asking for fanfic. (Why did she even say that anyway?)
Also I keep seeing people say Shoe is blind but I can't see anything on his face that would indicate this. And it annoys me how the Gai vs Shu swordfight was 2 attempts long.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.I think it is because of the cane he has in the epilogue. Of course, I think it's to help keep balance with the metal arm.
I didn't get why Inori said that. My best bet is that it was about how everyone's voids and Virus infections went into Shu through her.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Likely none, since there doesn't seem to be much of a direct brain interface there. Except since this is Guilty Crown, the plot would probably cause there to be some sort of brainjacking Void somewhere for exactly that purpose.
deviantArt | TwitterI feel like I have to say my two bits on the matter. I watched the last two episodes as part of my college's anime sessions (which I had no idea existed until last week), but since I had heard some bad stuff (or more accurately, some 'meh' reactions) about this show I kinda watched without a care for spoilers.
...It was entertaining and I found that I could mostly follow what was happening despite only knowing the show's premise. However, even I could tell that some plot threads were left hanging and that it wasn't very fulfilling overall. The problem with having many characters in a two-cour show is that one eventually runs out of airtime for a proper resolution. I agree with those who say it had little substance, but I give credit to the creators for making me enjoy those two episodes. Also, all I could think while Daath had his mouth open was "Instrumentality Instrumentality ahh why is everyone turning into crystals and not Tang"
Still, it's a bit of a shame. The production values were very clearly very high, but not much came of it.
Well I hope http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8232801/1/Cyberpunkd
makes it sorta kinda feasible, because I'm just going crazy over here.
What could an OVA actually be about?
...I guess there is still the "Daath is still around" thing, but I doubt a single episode can resolve that.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Wait, younger Daath? How does that make sense? Yuu looked exactly the same before Shu was born as he did in the present day. It was basically the final tip off that he was an otherworldly, unaging being, as opposed to being just Daath's errand boy or something.
Also, is the OVA actually out? And I want to see younger Segai.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.![]()
It's just him wearing different clothes for an older time. And him having long hair for whatever reason which makes him look waaaaaaaaaayyy prettier. Also, he has nice legs.
Yes, the OVA is out.

If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.Just got the game.
I'd say this: The game makes up for all of the anime's flaws, and MORE.
It's so good - It ties in so well with continuity - that it's pretty much worth the wait. In fact, I'm surprised that this wasn't the anime instead; It feels more like an anime than the show did. The series actually would have made a better Visual Novel adaptation.
It's a rather grim visual novel, but with very high production values; Also, Scrooge and Carol are way better than their counterparts.
The story begins in media res:
On the day of Lost Christmas, Scrooge - A mysterious red-cloaked man, with incredible strength and speed - battles Daath forces, only to be confronted by a blonde known as 'Present' and an Endlave known as 'The Ghost of Christmas Past'. Just when he's about to lose, an Inori look-alike (Carol) - leaps down from above, and Scrooge uses his Void Genome to draw forth her Void.
Cut to a few months ago. Scrooge wakes up, just when he's about to undergo a lobotomy; He inadvertently slays the doctors, discovering that a touch from his right hand turns anyone to crystals. While escaping from the laboratory, he runs into Carol, a girl who claims to know him, and the two of them go on the run together.
While initially intending to kill Ouma Kurosu, he - After plenty of travelling, during which the OVA takes place - discovers that Kurosu is actually a pretty nice guy, who explains everything to him. Scrooge resolves to thwart Daath's plan, but he's too late: Lost Christmas happens, and all hell breaks loose.
Scrooge rescues a young Gai from the collapsed church, inadvertently inspiring him to become 'strong' - i.e the badass terrorist leader we know him to be in the series. Pursued by Daath forces, and trying to thwart Mana's rebirth (Her Roppongi Fort Void appears) Scrooge and Carol end up going head-to-head against Present, Past, and a legion of Daath troopers in an apocalyptic final battle.
This skips over a lot; There's a massive twist at the end which I'll enclose in spoilers.
Carol has a 'unique' Void - She never has the same once twice, and seems to be immune to the Void Break = Death rule. It's revealed that the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come is actually her unborn child - And Scrooge is the father, from a breeding experiment to which he was an (unwilling) party. The child is better known as 'Inori', though it's implied that they had TWINS, linking the story with the Princess of Deadpool novel.
In the normal ending, Scrooge and Carol use her final Void to destroy Mana's fort, in a massive, suicidal explosion. However, Daath Mugi retrieves Scrooge's severed arm, and uses it to produce the Void Genome. In the true ending, it's implied the couple survives.
Also, Scrooge uses a *lot* of Voids throughout the game, to enormous destructive force. There's a sword, a blunderbuss, a chalice that summons flesh-devouring insects, a spear, a powerful beam cannon...Basically, he can kill with anything. ANYTHING.
