RP topic here.

This is the sign up topic for Operation Koschei. Pretty simple, no muss, no fuss.

  • Name:
  • Gender:
  • Age:
  • Description:
  • Personality:
  • History:
  • Legend: (Your character's cover story for being in Belarus. Please note that an official cover gives you diplomatic immunity, but it's harder to find a spy with a non-official cover.)

As an example, here's the profile for the CIA Station Chief.

  • Name: Arthur Clark
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 32
  • Description: Approx. 5' 8", brown hair and blue eyes. Wears a set of glasses, though whether these are for the look or are actually corrective is unclear. Usually wears an immaculate suit and carries a PDA.
  • Personality: Businesslike and efficient at what he does, but more lax around his friends, of which he has very few. Hates caviar.
  • History: Clark's history is long and varied. He was on an aborted assignment to Italy to look into possible terrorist connections to a gun-running cartel there, and more recently has worked with an international anti-terrorist team as a CIA liasion. He may have been involved in some African wars as well. Of course, this is all highly classified and all his current subordinates know about him is that he's got a decent track record. Tired of dealing with people shooting at him every week or so, he requested that he be transferred to a place with less shooting and more spying, and got his wish when he was transferred to Minsk as Station Chief.
  • Legend: Officially, Clark is an attache at the American Embassy in Minsk. While this would limit most other agents, his job is not to interact with the spies themselves, but only with their case officers, who usually have less noticeable covers. Clark's low rank at the embassy marks him as a low-value target for Belarusian KGB, so that he is less likely to be followed than more noticeable embassy members.

SVR Station Chief:

  • Name: Andrei Ushakov
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 56
  • Description: 5'11", crew-cut black hair and grey eyes. Lean and wiry. Ushakov typically wears a black suit and tie and carries a briefcase. Ushakov always carries an AEK-919K Kashtan as part of his cover. It is typically hidden under his coat.
  • Personality: Demanding and straightforward. Ushakov always expects his agents to come through on their missions, but will give them exactly one chance to screw up, on the "you'll never let that happen again" line of logic. He does not accept excuses for why something cannot be done. He believes that the means justify the ends, and will permit his agents to do anything to achieve their objective as long as it will not threaten SVR operations.
  • History: Trained and served in the KGB's First Chief Directorate from 1976 to 1991, and has worked for the SVR since then. He has done more operations than even he can remember, although a few notable ones include the assassination of a CIA agent in China, successfully operating a spy ring in Britain for seven years before it was broken up, and preventing an American-sponsored coup from taking place by intercepting documents on the American end.
  • Legend: Ushakov is a bodyguard for the Russian Ambassador to Belarus, and thus is authorized to carry a submachine gun when on duty.

KGB Station Chief:

  • Name: Pavel Yakolev
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 36
  • Description: 5'4", brown hair and amber eyes. Wears a normal business suit with a red tie. Average build, but heavily muscled under the suit.
  • Personality: Tends to value brute force, and is easily impressed by manipulative means to an end. Believes in the national rhetoric, but places the safety of the state above that of her allies.
  • History: Raised in Belarus while it was still part of the USSR, he supported Lukashenko's bid for power after communism fell. He served for some time as an enforcer for the party, and eventually was recruited by the KGB for his efficiency. From there, he eventually rose to his current station, which he considers to be highly important.
  • Legend: Yakolev's cover is that of a functionary in the bureaucracy of the Economic Court.

This looks pretty interesting. I'll have a look at signing up in a minute.

  • Name: Nonna (Gennadiya) Alekseyovna Solovyov
  • Gender: Female
  • Service: Russian Federation, GRU
  • Rank: Mládshiy Leytenánt Guards
  • Age: 28
  • Description: 5'7", 134 lbs, light Brown hair worn messy at medium length, gray eyes behind metal frame glasses to correct nearsightedness, stockings & skirt and a button up shirt under a mackinaw with vest, usually wears boots in the field
  • Personality: Quiet, observant, and only slightly agitated in a dangerous situation Nonna doesn't really put up much of a front for work. At heart she's exactly the same way, mixed in with an unhealthy dose of abandonment issues and combat service in the regular army.
  • History: Long and varied; starting in a bleak Soviet orphanage in Leningrad before stretching into a youth in rural Archangelesk Oblast and a career in the regular army (as a medic), reserves, militia (police) driver, and unofficial detective before winding up in the GRU as a field agent. Not prone to discussing her personal life for obvious reasons, most of her intelligence career has been spent in the Ukraine and Georgia.
  • Legend: Thanks to her largely informal education in the fields of her grandfather's farm Nonna (re-assumed for increased anonymity) fits into her cover as a foreign service officer of the Ministry of Agriculture's Rosselkhoznadzor with ease. She entered the country with the cover of tracking a potentially contaminated load of grain used as cattle feed in potentially interesting areas.

Looks good to me. Once we get a few other people interested ('cause it's not interesting with only one player, tongue) I'll put up the RP topic.

  • Name: Olga Voerman.
  • Service: Russian SVR
  • Age: 31.
  • Rank: Kapitan.
  • Appearance: Olga stands 5'11'' tall. Her skin is pale and full of freckles, and she has clear, big blue eyes. Her hair is thick, dark red, curly and roughly chin-length. She wears glasses, being practically Blind Without 'Em. Her figure is both athletic and curvy. She wears a stylish grey dress, cleavaged, sleeveless and roughly knee-length. She also wears tall, comfortable, low-heeled boots. During the winter, she wears a black leather trenchcoat, gloves, and normally a Russian hat.
  • Personality: Olga is calm, collected, and outwardly friendly. She's also quite curious, and she's got a wry, sarcastic sense of humor. Unlike other agents, she is amoral. She doesn't feel guilt or regret, so she undertakes ruthless actions without hesitation.
  • History: Both of her parents were Navy. She grew up a military brat: When the time came to choose between a military career or a journalistic one, she chose the family tradition. While at the Petrograd Naval Academy, she was eventually contacted by the SVR. Once getting her Lieutenant commission, she transferred into Intelligence. She's a veteran from the 2008 Georgian War.
  • Legend: Natasha Leonova, officially a middle manager at Gazprom, with a fake MBA from the University of Moscow to boot.

The only character I think I might be able to play is not technically a spy for any of the governments... can I still sign up for this?

Clark's bearded partner in crime of course...though when I think bout it, it's highly unlikely he'd end up as a spy; shooting nd blowing things up is more his forte.

When year is it? I have an idea.
