Honestly, if it means more silly Digimon, sure, why not. Neither really bother me. I thought it was actually funny.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.I did as well, for the record.
And I, for one, welcome our new Disney overlords.
Princess Aurora is underrated, pass it on.So this episode is basically a hybrid of Team Sonic Racing, Wacky Races, and Digimon with a survival mode, Stay Alive and Twisted Metal. I LOVE IT. Wish someone would've digivolved, Ruli was killing it on the track.
Well we know Black Tailmon Uver can't be a villain. After all, bad guys opens portals, good guys open gates
And damn, she killed a truck driver, that's messed up.
Speaking of, yeah, that BlackTailmon is actually a subspecies called "BlackTailmon Uver." They act as couriers and lack the nasty personalities their normal species have. Interestingly, the Digimon Reference Book states that the bags on their backs can only be opened by them, and can safely contain even highly confidential data, while keeping it at the proper temperature. So, there might be something important in that bag of theirs.
Also interesting is that the Reference Book says they are good friends with and often seen riding the backs of Pistmon. While relying on the Digimon Reference Book data is tenuous right now after seeing Sistermon Ciel, this is likely more reliable information for the future due to one thing. Pistmon is one of the Perfect forms of Pulsemon.
The Digivices the kids all have are "Digivice-V-", better known as the "Vital Bracelets". Pulsemon was originally created in tandem with the Vital Bracelets as a Digimon meant to be on the DIM card that came with it: "Impulse City", and could Digivolve into different branches depending on what the wearer of the bracelet did.
The common theory was that Uver. was in some way connected to Hokuto, possibly even being Hokuto's partner. What if that's only partially the case, that they're one of Hokuto's partners, and the other one is Pulsemon, as a nod to the fact their Digivices are based off the bracelet Pulsemon debuted with. It would likewise serve as another similarity between him and Hiro, in that both have partners with branching evolution paths. It could also mean that we may see Uver riding on the back of a Pistmon at one point to deliver something to Hiro, with Hiro unaware the two of them are Hokuto's partners.
BlackTailmon Uver needs to give Uber Uver rides to the kids otherwise it'll be a missed opportunity

New episode:
Bokomon and Bakumon appear, with the former explaining a bit more about materialization.
And Clockmon does a Heel–Face Turn as well.
One Strip! One Strip! So we now have a Mr. Exposition/Researcher via Bokomon and Bakumon. I guess it fits that since Neemon appeared with Bokomon in Digimon Adventure: (2020), that Bokomon would appear without Neemon here. I also like the addition of him wearing a lab coat. Reminds me of Agumon Hakase and Terriermon Assistant, in that they're technically subspecies despite only wearing labcoats. Guess this Bokomon could be called "Bokomon Hakase".
Interesting though that the Digimon we've been seeing, both the Hologram Ghosts and the assorted ones all over, are basically trapped in the human world. That after a portal of unknown origin opened and they went through it, they are basically stuck here. Though, that now leaves a lingering question in the background: what opened the portal?
We get another look at GulusGammamon... and yeah, if just his aura is enough to send Clockmon flying, it doesn't matter if he's only at the Champion level, he's dangerous.
This episode really highlights just how kind Hiro and Gammamon are. The two willingly risk themselves to save Clockmon, even after he'd already tried stealing time from Hiro's friend and Hiro himself. An act of kindness strong enough to even convince Clockmon to change his ways. And considering he's now gonna be studying under Bokomon and Bakumon, I guess you can even call him an official ally now.
NEXT TIME: Gaming addiction taken to lethal levels as we get the anime debut of the Gold and Silver brother Digimon: Kinkakumon and Ginkakumon!
That was a decent episode, mainly for Clockmon's plot thread, and it's interesting to see them try to explain the importance of the human element with Digimon for this show.
The detail about humans burning up if they enter the Digital World is pretty morbid and also feels like it'll be important later. I wonder if Hiro's dad actually got inflicted with that fate or circumvented it somehow.
Also I'm not quite sure if Clockmon will continue attacking humans, just not in Hiro's vicinity, but uh happy ending for everyone I guess.
Should we have a separate thread for Ghost Game? I sometimes feel conversation here gets a bit cluttered.
I don't think a seperate thread is necessary. We've been using this one to discuss the current season for years and it's never been a problem.
Very well.
Ghost Game is pretty creative in showing all the ways Digimon can mess with humans. I feel ambivalent about Clockmon pulling a Heel–Face Turn at the end.
They've been really avoiding actually killing Digimon in this, treating them more like people than the franchise usually does. Cant wait for Leomon to show up and break that trend.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireThey already broke the Leomon curse, so relying on that happening again won't work.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Just means he has to die twice.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireYou had that in Xros Wars(I mean, really, what else is Apollomon supposed to represent. Actually, that's three lion-y deaths, even if some get better).
Though not in Young Hunters?
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.Twist: Leomon is the only one who survives.

I like the explanation given in the episode, clears up a lot of stuff.
And I think this might be the first time we see a Tapirmon use its Holy Ring.
Official profiles and artwork have dropped for SymbareAngoramon, TeslaJellymon, and their evolutions.
Gotta say, Lamortmon sounds like a borderline Dark Evolution.
Wake me up at your own risk.It does fit with Ruli's Nightmare Fetishist tendencies though.
NASTY BIG POINTY TEETH!!!!!
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Based on the reference book details, it seems clear what the circumstances will be in how they achieve their Perfect forms:
- Angoramon will become Lamortmon and become The Berserker after being pushed into giving into his beastial instincts, and go so berserk it freaks out even Ruli, prompting her to beg him to calm down, and for him to exert control over himself due to her being his Morality Pet in that form. He'll not want to take that form again out of fear he'll lose control and risk hurting Ruli, but Ruli will convince him that she'll always be there to make sure he stays in control, allowing him to become Lamortmon again, only this time with more control over himself.
- Jellymon will become Thetismon after she Took a Level in Kindness. Something will happen that causes her to have a Heel Realization and regret her more trollish behavior, and Kiyoshiro will attempt to defend her from something or someone despite putting himself in danger, prompting Jellymon to openly admit how much she cares for him and doesn't want him to get hurt, prompting her evolution into Thetismon. Afterwards, while she'll be a little impish still, it will just extend to being The Gadfly, and she'll become protective of Kiyoshiro.
Had to wait a day to watch the latest episode because I was watching Space Jam: A New Legacy last night.
Anyway, Tesla-Jellymon is here bitches!
....Damn she's tiny. Like Jellymon is small (she's one of the tiniest child level partners, with only mons like Patamon and Terrrimon beating her out) but Telsa-Jellymon is still a few inches shorter than her own partner.
Still bigger than Tailmon / Gatomon, but damn she's tiny.
One Strip! One Strip!
Ah, so like many things Disney is the problem. I see I see.
