I kinda want a mega level cephalopodian sea demon, so Dagomon and Marine Devimon have something to evolve into that isn't a goddamn pufferfish.
The crustacean demon man that is Ebidramon's new final form is neat tho.

You dare mock the mighty Pukumon?
More seriously, always liked Dagomon -> Daemon due to being a good fixit for 02’s larger plot holes.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Still, seeing Daemon is a fallen Seraphimon, and Devimon a fallen Angemon, I'd really like to get a fallen Holy Angemon as a perfect there.
Neo Devimon is not quite the same. And I'm getting the feeling Done Devimon is a fallen Slash Angemon; both kinda use their wings as weapons.
I actually do like Pukumon though. Despite how small he is, I think his design sells the fact that he's still very intimidating and powerful quite well.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Don't get me wrong, I like it as well, but, it is kinda out of place next to the other original Virus Deep Savers.
I think I heard something along that being the reason why the Dark Masters have MetalSeadramon instead of Pukumon?
It also helps there was a full Seadramon-based line to somewhat use as a sorting algorithm of evil joke. Seeing upgrades of the same Digimon works well. Especially since they don't usually outright send a Digimon back to its Digiegg state all the time. Regular Seadramon was fine, and we don't actually see what happens to Mega Seadramon either(though that particular one might've returned in Adventure 2, and the original Seadramon could've fully evolved to Metal Seadramon or even eventually became Michael's partner. Who knows).
Pukumon is a cool Digimon, though. I feel like there's a lot of reasons why the set of Dark Masters work. Pukumon isn't bad, but my list might help explain why I think they made the right call.
- Puppetmon and Piedmon are Humanoid.
- Machinedramon and Metal Seadramon are Beastly.
- Piedmon and Metal Seadramon are not mechanical(Metal Seadramon seems a lot more armor than straight out mechanical. Giga Seadramon, its upgrade, which doesn't show up, feels far more mechanical), but overall has metal parts/related stuff.
- Puppetmon and Machinedramon are mechanical outright.
- Metal Seadramon and Puppetmon can Jogress to become Apocalymon.
- Machinedramon and Piedmon can also Jogress to become Apocalymon.
I like how the designs play off each other in tons of different ways, making them all stand out uniquely. It's unfortunate only Puppetmon gets a decent amount of dedicated episodes, while the rest still show off a great amount of personality(at least dub-wise, that I can say). Machinedramon does stand out by targeting Kari, at least. Puppetmon targeting T.K. is also notable in its own way. For the most part, Metal Seadramon's more... respectable leadership is nice, and Piedmon has a different style of sadism. It's why I honestly like them all. Same with the other core villains. They're all really cool in Adventure 1 and very unique. Nobody feels like a simple repeat of the last one, even if it's just a dub-only addition.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.Okay, just going to mention that, after 20 years, it is kinda odd that we still don't have a Jogress between Terriermon and Lopmon's lines.
Gimme Cherubimon and Saint Galgomon jogress; giant angelic mecha bunny/dog.
The power of pi compels you!
Well, we already know that Joe's prayers can kill ghosts. Now his reciting Pi can break hypnotism.
[ ....when are we getting Metal Garurumon? They're really taking their time with this.
One Strip! One Strip! It's Yamato's episode, and the main draw is instead Joe achieving nirvana after bathing for days with Nanimon lol

Can't believe Joe's formed a religion
Mephismon was a pretty neat one-off antagonist and the Yamato character stuff was pretty decent.
Can't believe we've gone ten episodes and Tai and Agumon are still the only ones to achieve Mega/Ultimate level.
It makes Wargreymon feel more unique and special at least.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Twice over, no less.
Eh, not gonna lie, Digimon always feels off the more they pull the specialness of certain characters. And, well, War Greymon has always debuted alongside Metal Garurumon. It is not bad to see it shine by itself (although he already did so in the 99 anime and skewering 2 Dark Masters by himself), but, entire Final form team please?
We also have gotten Omegamon 2 times already, after all.
Is an entire team fusion mon possible?
Secret SignatureYeah, that's Omegamon Merciful Mode. Although that involved Holydramon, but, eh, anything works there.
Honestly those look better than Merciful Mode.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Kind of like how serene Merciful mode looks more tbh.
You make it sound like Tai and Matt haven't always had preferential treatment among the group. The only difference is that even Matt feels secondary to Tai now after sharing the spotlight for so long.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Except nobody felt secondary, even if those 2 usually got some extra focus. 8 main characters and all that.
Hence, preferential treatment. I didn't say nobody else mattered, just that those two mattered more.
Though, its even more blatant now.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. And they mattered more in the final arc due to them getting an additional stage. Stage everybody was getting this time around. Smh at how this is treated, 99 Tai wasn't such a blatant shonen hero.

That's why I love Digimon R.E.B.O.O.T and Digimon re:Genesis. The entire team reaches Mega Level, and no one or two members get considerably more focus so as to overshadow the rest of the team. Even better, the Digimon partners feel less like Satellite Characters and more like actual partners to the humans with full character arcs.
We all have to answer to the call of fate when it beckons us, even if it is not at a moment of our choosing.Honestly I dont mind it makes the ultimates/perfects more special. Once the megas hit the ultimates didnt really matter except for an assist by zudomon and magna angemon. Hell most of the ultimates were useless against myotismon. We still have 4/5 more ultimates to get their mega aura. I can't tell if lillymon got hers or not but weregarurumon and negakabuterimon got theirs
You say that like "a trip to Hot Topic" isn't a normal form of evolution
