I'd say design matters much more for me, so I'd appreciate chances to use it. That can be accomplished by mega not being the end-all be all.
Furthermore, if I absolutely hate Veemon and some other mons, I'd like to use some stuff he becomes without having to use certain intermediates.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI had an idea for making intermediate stages useful in vidya gaems. One of them was dungeons with a maximum evolutionary stage, and so some dungeons could only be cleared by Champions or Ultimates, stuff like that. That was mainly to make Digimon who don't digivolve further useful though. The other would be for the later stage to be able to use the attacks of the earlier stages, so it matters what intermediate stages you chose to get there.
That'd work.
Or maybe, if you work hard enough with a certain level, it's not insurmountably weaker than a higher one, like with wild digimon.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyProbably, but it made for a good Continuity Nod / Mythology Gag, too, since Jeri also got a cat-themed Champion-level partner.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered! On that note, Marine Angemon seemed underpowered.
I like how Antylamon was handled, though I was a bit disappointed we never got to see Truiemon. Still, Lopmon was such a great partner.
Yeah, C. Viper and Cream the Rabbit are pretty cool.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI like how Antylamon was voiced by Michelle Ruff. Pity Lopmon wasn't as well.
Would that have anything to do with her also being the voice of your avatar pic?
...Touche.
Alright, I think I'll find Kay or something. Eat her soul instead.
Nobody warn her.

Dammit!!! Why is it so hard to devour the souls of the innocent not evil ....people?
Don't know, but you should probably get a refund on it.
He looks Bad Ass.
What's our number for the Olympic 12 now? That must be nearly all of them.
One Strip! One Strip!

When two champions become the same ultimate it makes the champion pretty forgettable once you are good enough to consistently keep monsters alive long enough to reach ultimate. V-mon and Dracomon pretty much have all the same evolutions so who cares which one you get? V-dramon and XVmon have the same ultimate mega path and sometimes the same rookie. They do not have much of a distinct identity beyond adaptations, and the latter's was a Human-Focused Adaptation anyway.
