Sort of. Pink Steven in Future is less a transformation that tanks his mental health as much as an expression of his mental instability. Pink Steven is unstable because Steven is unstable, not the other way around.
Presumably in a time where he manages to work through his traumas and issues (ie, the typical Death Battle), he would have access to all that power without the instability.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Someone commissioned Brandon Yates to make a track for Lapis vs Percy Jackson:
Cody Travers (Final Fight) vs Axel Stone (Streets of Rage).
Protagonists of Beat 'em up games from the 80s/90s.
I'm surprised this one hasn't happened yet.

Heh. That's a good match-up even if it's a one-sided fight.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireCody scales to Street Fighter bullshit but Axel tears apart robots with his bare hands. Hard to say.
You're burying the lede though just saying they're Beat 'em Up protags (I'd argue that Mike Haggar is actually the protagonist of Final Fight, but alas...) since They used to basically have the exact same design.◊
In the years since their debut though they've branched out. Axel got a beer gut (not that it slowed him down any) and Cody built muscle in prison.
Bleye knows Sabers. This is Cody "thinks Akuma is weak" Travers. He is memetically, and potentially canonically, the strongest Street Fighter.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireTo be fair, the only times we've seen Cody act that cocky is when the player specifically chooses to play as Cody in his story mode and make it to Akuma.
From Oni's perspective, he says that Cody could survive a fight with him if he would stop holding back, since Cody is said to be like Oro and Akuma, they all hold back.
Street Fighter has a guy that can jump up and down on Akuma's face like it's nobody's business and this is the first I'm hearing about this?
I don't know Street Fighter, but the discourse really makes it sound like Ryu v. Akuma is the ultimate clash of the greatest ultimate warriors in all the universe. Who the hell is Cody?!

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Cody is one of the heroes from the original Final Fight side scrolling brawler game.
He teams up with the wrestling mayor of Metro City Mike Haggar (who had previously been in a wrestling game called Saturday Night Slam-Masters) and a Ninja named Guy to beat up an entire gang and rescue his girlfriend (and Mike's daughter).
Guy is also a regular in Street Fighter since Alpha.
The idea he's on par with Akuma is pretty incredible. I always thought he was just really good with knives.
Oh, and as of Street Fighter V, Cody has now replaced Haggar as the Mayor of Metro City.
One Strip! One Strip! As mayor, he also canonically beats G and Gill.

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI dunno about those claims, always got the impression that the absolute strongest character is Oro and that's because he purposely handicaps himself during combat.
Uni catI believe that it’s been stated that Oro and Akuma are dead equal (though I’m not sure whether that includes Oni or not) and that Oni believes that Cody with no handicaps stands a chance at beating him.
If you are willing to consider it canon, Oni and Evil Ryu scale to Asura

Forever liveblogging the AvengersMan, who on the writing team had it out for Liam?
Actually, it was apparently Liam himself who wrote that joke, since he's the one directing the episode.
For those who don't get it, one of the members of the research team is named Liam Swan, so that joke about Swan being a dumb name means a bit more with that in mind.
I don’t know a whole lot about either combatant, but from the preview analysis alone I’m thinking Heihachi might take it, though obviously their best feats likely haven’t been shown off yet. Is there a general consensus at the moment as to who the winner will likely be?
In Geese’s defense, I’d try to kill my dad too if that’s the name I got stuck with while his other son got fucking “Wolfgang”.
You'd think even by the flawed logic of transitive property people would be voting for Geese.
Both franchises have fought Street Fighter, Tekken lost and Ko F won both times.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?I've seen arguments both ways. The battle seems to be a defense vs. offense one; arguments in favor of Heihachi say that his durability is too high for Geese to put him down, while the case for Geese is that scaling to other KoF characters gives him power far above what Heihachi usually deals with.
Also, someone here called the Call-Back to Boomstick being a poultry science major.

Watch Symphogearx4 And then his master decided to favour a guy named Jeff over him. Being Geese is suffering.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I’ll ask since the only KoF game I’ve played is XIV, but does Geese scale to the top tiers of KoF?
Like, yeah he obviously scales to Terry, but I’ve read that the Fatal Fury characters don’t actually do much in KoF’s overarching plot, and I just got the impression that he doesn’t seem to be as much of a threat as Rugal, Goenitz, Orochi, etc.

There's a lot of ways this fight can go honestly. Right now I'm leaning towards Heihachi having the edge simply because of his durability being nuts, while Geese can't handle falling off a tower.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)
Flame Princess is a great option as mentioned. If you want to keep it limited to water vs water, which we haven't had yet, Mera would be a good choice.
