I swear one of the funniest instances of that is in a regular sitcom where the father's increasingly convoluted scheme to get rid of a mouse drives him to shoot up his own house with a rifle in night vision googles.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The thing is, I would've used invincibility instead of invulnerability. The former is more general and applies perfectly as a descriptor of what Saitama is like as well as the hilarity of him being unable to kill a mosquito despite being extremely powerful, the latter specifically describes his absurd defensive ability and doesn't really apply to the issue of being unable to kill a mosquito.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. My dictionary says invulnerable is, "impossible to harm or damage," while invincible says, "too powerful to be defeated or overcome."

Personally, I'd prefer if the 'net was a little friendlier, but you know the GIFT...Exactly. Saitama is the latter, with the former being merely one aspect out of many of said invincibility. And the main point of the joke involving him and mosquitos is that he's consistently unable to even scratch a single one despite possessing unfathomable super strength, super speed, super reflexes, etc.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I corrected that by adding "Physical God-ness" in a different thread, but didn't change it here.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Badass, post-apocalyptic mail-men with kids to look after, deep voices, and games with ominous, metaphorical titles.
Joel
Sam Porter Bridges
I feel like Joel wins this easily because unlike Sam, he's very skilled when it comes to killing people. That being said, if Sam voids out, the fight would end in a draw since it's pretty hard to survive against a nuclear explosion.
It's been 3000 years…After Maximilian's Terry anthology and of course Terry's release for Smash, I really want to see Terry Bogard vs Ryu.
It's always kind of bugged me that they picked Ken and not Ryu for the matchup with Terry, given that the stated reason for Ken being hideously outmatched there (that he doesn't have the raw power to keep up) would be less of a problem with Ryu.
This is especially true now, after story-wise SFV slightly upped the general power level of the series for arguably everyone a notch or two, and then gave Ryu pretty big (if vague) in-universe buff to boot.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Terry still beats Ryu pretty easily. And terry is definitely a bit closer to Ken in themes, both having decently similar designs to them.
But would they win against Liu Kang?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So? It's Death Battle. Someone always loses.
But I'd prefer a closer battle to a complete curbstomp, every time. Likewise, Terry and Ryu always made more sense, given that they're the mascots of their respective series and each one of the major mascots of their parent companies, whereas Ken is a iconic - yes - but supporting character who just shares a few traits with Terry.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Mercifully short, but we do get to see what the animation style will look like.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Should we keep DP's profile entries third-person only?
(x6) In fairness, Ken and Terry are the most paired of the two. Both are red clad blonde American fighters with pigtails. Both have a close relation to other primary characters (Terry and Andy are brothers, Ryu and Ken are basically brothers and very close friends and rivals), both known to be somewhat cocky, and highly popular in the West and become fathers in the future (Terry adopts Rock while Ken and Eliza have Mel)

If only they had ninshu, Naruto could show Bort his own childhood to stop him being such a little bitch. - IronypusWould it therefore make sense to pair Ryu against Andy in a future episode? They do have more in common in terms of aesthetics and personality.
Andy would get Creamed by Ryu as badly as Terry would Cream Ken.
Andy may be strong, but he's not his Brother who fought the Roman God of war in his movie series, who by the standards of SNK, would be an Orochi Tier fighter and won by himself.
Watch SymphogearIsn't Game!Terry weaker than OVA!Terry though? Terry Prime may be a powerhouse but I don't think he's quite on the same level as the flame users or the Orochi gang.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterKyo still considers Terry to be a Rival, and he Killed Orochi, so....
Watch Symphogear
Actually yeah. Under the new rules, Game Terry and OVA Terry would be different characters and such the feats of the latter should not be considered for any number crunching on the former.
One Strip! One Strip! If it doesn't outright contradict with the games, its fair game.
Watch SymphogearYeah the OVA(s?) may be old but I don't think they should outright be off bounds. They could be used as supporting evidence at the very least.
Bleye knows Sabers.I would like to see that OVA where Terry fights that war God.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Fatal Fury the Motion Picture is on Youtube in fact.
Hell, all three OVA's are there. Check them out.
One Strip! One Strip!Complete with incredibly 90's character designs!
My favorite being the ridiculousness of Panni who despite being capable of leveling a castle with her geysers is somehow defeated by Mai Shiranui back when she was a Faux Action Girl.
Bleye knows Sabers.
It’s kind of a rule in humor animation that the stronger you are, the more incapable you will be when faced with a fly, mosquito, mouse, small annoying pest, etc. Popeye did that gag too.l, multiple times.
Mostly because it’s an inherently funny concept. Phenomenal cosmic powers! Can’t deal with something a thousandth of their size.
