[up] (2) If that was all you got out of that then I've failed tremendously. Joker can hold his own against/outwit Deadshot, Batman, and even Lex Luthor. He's beaten Lex Luthor in a fist fight during Salvation Run. Lex Luthor did this once. Without steroids, Lazarus Pit, or his warsuit as far as I can tell.

And that's before we got into the Pale Man gunk from the New 52/Rebirth/whatever it is DC is doing now where he's been pumped full of lead and gotten back up cool as you please.

Joker can give 007 plenty of trouble due to causing problems for a team of expertly-trained forensic scientists/martial artists, most of whom could probably wreck 007 in a straight-up fight. He's in the realm of "extremely lethal and hard to kill, but still mortal" that I think Bond is in.

This could turn into "one grabs a sniper rifle before the other does and shoots the other first," but I can see it now - 007 gets a mission to go to Gotham and take out the Joker, Joker sees him coming, launches a wave of clown-themed artillery at him, and Craig!Bond just badasses is way through it all into a fist fight with Joker.

And look further - they've both got films coming in 2019 and 2020. That seems to be the winning criteria. I say this fight should happen for that reason alone.

[up][up][up][up]No, Joaquin Phoenix is the 26th actor to portray the Joker.

Even after this list was made, Batman Ninja had Tony Hale and Wataru Tagaki.

Even if you only count live action, hes had 6, not 7.

... Batman Ninja was amazing. We need that continuity's version of the Joker in a fight. Probably his deadliest incarnation I can think of when it comes to outright combat. He'd even slice apart Titan!Joker.

Why, because he has a mech?

On the subject of the next fight, have the clarified if theyre taking Shazam with his classic powerset, or his new collection of gods? Cause if its the latter, this might end up in one of the cruelest ends we've seen in a death battle

It'll probably be the latest version if they're making a distinction.

As for Samurai Joker, dude can leap a dozen feet into the air to swordfight and ended up cutting down a small forest's worth of trees. That's what happens when you anime-ize someone who "Doesn't have powers" after all.

... There actually is a Justice League Manga done by the same Mangaka who did Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas that stars a Japanese ninja OC but even there the Joker's more of a planner and manipulator. Crack shot though.

I haven't watched The Batman, but didn't the Joker there also know martial arts? How does he stand up next to his Ninja counterpart?

That's actually a clever matchup. Especially since Bond is effectively what you'd get if the Bruce Wayne persona was real, but he also did Batman.

Arsenal-wise, I think Bond has the bigger one, and more varied at that. There's a lot of things he could pull out to counteract the Joker.

As for combat ability, I think Bond probably takes it, but even if Joker is the better martial artist with better durability, it's a once-a-movie event where Bond fights an insable durable, nearly unstoppable foe that he ultimate defeats with clever use of surrounding materials.

On the other hand, he does have issues that Joker might be able to take advantage of.

According to Wikipedia Phoenix is the 7th actor to portray the Joker in theatrical film.

I've not watched it yet. Why exactly is the Joker a superhuman ninja in that one? I can understand Bats fitting in because he's already been trained like a shinobi. But Joker?

Ahh, see, that's where I wonder. I think Joker still takes a H 2 H fight. I haven't watched many Bond films but I doubt think Bond can really stand up to Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing, any of them the way Joker does.

If it came down to guns it's Joker's "Pale Man" abilities that pose a problem. Assuming he still has them.

[up][up] The Joker has had connections with the Yakuza before.

Getting some sort of Shinobi training that way wouldn't be surprising to me.

What about Jackie Estacado? Has anyone read original comics? Is Jackie notably different in them compared to games? Is he usual comic book OP monster and games had to tone him down a lot as it's common with comic adaptations?

Jackie Estacado as fought the likes of Wolverine and even Superman, once.

He's not a particularly interesting character I think. But he's like if Spawn met Tony Montana met Wolverine.

Shazam has new gods?

Yep. The letters now stand for S'ivaa, H'Ronmeer, Anapel, Zonuz, Ate, and Mamaragan.

Essentially, he traded super-senses for teleportation, reality warping, the ability to throw fire as well as lightning, and the ability to heal people.

To be more distinct from Wonder Woman, probably.

You mean in universe, or from a creative standpoint? In universe, because Darkseid died, and the connection to the old gods was severed (weirdly, this didn't affect Wonder Woman). So the wizard kinda needed to get Billy some new gods to take power from pretty quick. Its to the point it now includes alien gods, evil gods, and the wizard himself.

As for why from a creative standpoint? I would guess because given 5/6 of his gods come from the greek pantheon, hes a bit too similar to Wonder Woman, so they mixed it up by making it more tied to D Cs own history, as well as to far more obscure mythological figures. Every fictional universe has a Zeus, how many use Mamaragan, the Aboriginal lightning man who speaks with thunder?

Fits she gets destroyed by a not-android, then her movie gets called "SJW Trash" and now she is going to be reality warped to death.

Wait wait wait wait

The premise of New Gods is that the Old Gods all died in a climatic ragnarok Götterdämmerung what have you

But in Wonder Woman, the Greek pantheon is fine and dandy. And other mythologies show up too.

Whats the deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal?

The Old gods are entirely distinct from various real world pantheons we know of, if I recall.

The old gods are the norse ones.

The whole idea with the new gods is that Jack Kirby wanted to do a big event for Thor, but Marvel told him no, because Thor was still way too markettable. So when he started working for DC, he took out his old idea and asked if DC wanted to try it. They were totally on board, so he used the idea, and kept implying as hard as he could that Marvel Thor got killed in the the death of the old gods. Thats why the new gods need to live in another dimension, cause Jack Kirby created them as still being in the Marvel universe.

[up][up][up][up]I mean, she made a billion dollars. Thats not nothing.
