If they do take the composite approach, Chateau Romani (i.e. infinite magic) plus his arsenal from A Link to the Past would make Link formidable indeed. The magic cape makes him invisible and invulnerable, the Bomos/Quake/Ether Medallions nuke everything in sight, and the (non-magical, I might add) Silver Arrows are damaging enough to one-shot some of the game's bosses.

If they're gonna do a match with all the Zelda characters, who would be a match for Ganondorf? He's the reincarnation of a demon king, is a powerful sorcerer and swordsman given godlike powers by the Triforce, can transform into a monstrous boar, and can only be defeated (and more often than not those defeats are temporary) by a holy weapon, like the Master Sword or Four Sword.

So, who could take him on? The Warrior of Light? Garland? Nightmare? Siegfried, Xianghua, Sophitia, Patroklos, or anyone else who has wielded Soul Calibur? (Granted, Soul Edge might not be able to kill him, but it can take him over, resulting in a technical win for Nighty.) Suggestions?

[up] Personally, I'd suggest Castlevania's interpretation of Dracula. And even then, I'd prefer it to be an all-out war between their forces, much like Eggman vs. Wily.

[up] But Ganon has so many monsters under his control listing them a la Eggman vs Wily would be difficult. I mean, there's his Dragons: Shadow Link, Phantom Ganon, the Twinrova sisters, Vaati, Zant, and Agahnim. Then there's his Mooks, in alphabetical order: Armos, Ball & Chain Troopers, Beamos, Bees, Blade Traps, Bokoblins and their variants, Bubbles, Buzz Blobs, Chu Chus and their variants, Crows, Darknuts, Deku Babas and their variants, Deku Scrubs, Dodongos, Dinolfos, Floormasters, Freezards, Ghinis, Gibdos, Goriyas, Guays, Hardhat Beetles, Helmasaurs, Hinoxes, Iron Knuckles, Keese, Leevers, Like Likes, Lizalfos, Lynels, Moblins, Moldorms, Octoroks, Peahats, Poes, Pols Voices, Rats, ReDeads, River Zora, Ropes, Skulltulas, Stalfos, Tektites, Wallmasters, White Wolfos, Wizzrobes, and Zols.

[up] Eggman and Wily have no shortage of baddies themselves (though, granted, they are dwarfed by the sheer size and variety of Dracula and Ganondorf's respective armies). It didn't stop Wiz and Boomstick from just picking and choosing a bunch of memorable and awesome baddies for the Eggman vs. Wily video. As well as Sheep Man, Scratch, and Grounder. They don't necessarily have to list all of the minions. Just the ones that they think would make it an awesome (and relatively even) battle.

That said, I do think that an all-out war between as many mooks as can possibly fit on the screen would be rather awesome. Just one of those things where the animator goes nuts, you know.

Hmm... Ganon could try taking out Rhino. Or how about Mother Brain?

[up]Rhino and Mother Brain combined can't hold a candle to Ganon.

Also, can anyone think of a good matchup for Kirby?

Here's an interesting follow-up to the Starscream vs. Rainbow Dash video, a Screw Attack member heads to Botcon (a Transformers themed convention) and asks fans "Who would win?"

^^ I'd say Megaman, but only because those two have a Power Copying bit.

[up]I'd actually have to say otherwise. Mega Man is challenged by Wily's bots. Kirby's second final boss/victim is a personification of nightmares. I think there's an order of magnitude of difference in power levels there.

Rhino and Mother Brain combined can't hold a candle to Ganon.
Mother Brain is plenty powerful.

According to this calculation (Based on Metroid Prime's figures for Zebes), Samus weighs approximately 85.6 tons on Zebes, yet her armor is able to easily survive that strain and apply force against it. Mother Brain is similarly affected by Zebes' gravity, which would make her strength an order of magnitude higher than Ganon's in any place with normal gravity.

Ponies aren't the only ones with physics.

That's not even going into the hyper beam. Ganon is certainly more versatile, but Mother Brain has the advantage in raw power. She also has stronger minions, with the full force of the Space Pirate armada (They had a ship that created black holes in the manga) and the Metroids.

I think Ganon would win due to how hard he is to kill and due to how sneaky he is (Mother Brain has never really been much of a strategist, ironically), but I think Mother Brain would still put up a good fight.

Dark Samus might be a better match for Ganondorf; she's similarly hard to kill and her Phazon powers are close to "magic."

Except that Ganondorf can only be killed by holy weapons, and while MB's strength may be ramped up due gravitational differences, the Triforce of Power bestows Ganondorf with supernatural abilities that no incarnation of Mother Brain has possessed.

ANY of the Belmonts would be a better match for Ganondorf.

[up] So we were right that they're using a composite Link. O_o But trolling us like that? -_- Poor Aerith.

Heh, Aerith died. Never gets old.

Yes, but that supernatural power has still shown nowhere near as much as Mother Brain's strength.

And I addressed the resistance to non-holy weapons. It's why Mother Brain would ultimately lose; she just can't kill Ganondorf.

Dark Samus, on the other hand, does have a way of defeating Ganondorf: Phazon corruption and control. So it'd ultimately be a battle of Magic vs Green Rocks.

Why wouldn't it be able to? It can corrupt robots and rocks (See: Thardus), I think it can probably affect evil overlords too in some way.

Of course, Ganondorf's will may be too much; Samus was able to resist corruption for a long time, and Ganondorf has one hell of an iron will.

Speaking of Samus... I wonder what happens in the "You died via Phazon corruption" ending. Are there two Dark Samuses running around now?
