So, I had noticed that the Heroic BSoD page had its image changed before. I remembered that it had been a different image (IIRC, it was Tales of Symphonia), but decided that there might have been something that I missed, and ignored it. Now, I decided to see whether there was a thread, for it, but there wasn't! There was a crowner, but that's it. The image change wasn't even in the History. There was a notice that it had been selected in the Image Pickin' forum, but I couldn't find a thread.

So anyways, the point is: can we put the other images in an Image Links connected to the page, and is the current picture good? (If this is in the wrong place, I apologize.)

Edit: We're not allowed to use acronyms in titles? Huh.

I fixed the link; you needed to capitalize the O and make the words CamelCase.

To your question: There's nothing at all wrong with putting the other pics from the crowner in an Image Links page, but I'd concentrate on any that have positive vote totals (and I haven't looked at that crowner so I don't know how many of those there are).

The current image was chosen a while back. The thread was deleted when old threads are purged on the forum. You can put any image you want on the image links wiki yes.

[up][up] Oh, ok.

Edit: Also, why was the current image chosen?

Made Image Links page. (Sorry for double posting.)

Mild problem with the current image. The lines on the right side of her face represent a "WTF" look and not the "something terrible just happened" look. It seems like it's only being used for the funny (BSOD literally scrolling down her eyes).

[up] That could easily be fixed with any image editing program...just take out those lines and redraw the eyebrows so they're more of an open expression.

But why was the other picture taken down for this one? What were the reasons for it?

Because none of the others that were offered looked like anything more than a blank expression. They could be just as easily interpreted as boredom, or mild confusion, or not paying attention, or a bunch of other things. All of them required familiarity with both the character and the workto be an illustration of the trope.

Ohhh.

I kind of liked the previous image myself, but I guess this one's ok.

You've got a good memory — this has been the page image for almost a year now.

I played with the expression to take out the aforementioned elements - how's this?

[up][up][up]: Heh, thanks, I guess the previous image just stuck in my head for some reason, even though I've never played ToS. smile

[up]: Yeah, the BSOD looks like it's being reflected into her eyes, and she's surprised about it.

I have another suggestion! it's from Scandinavia and the World, and also features the actual blue screen scrolling by. Not entirely sure how to put a picture in here, so I'm just going to be clunky and drop a link ^^; Germany showing us how it's done: http://satwcomic.com/cute-puppy ooh, and a bonus I'd forgotten about: it actually says *Blue-Screen of Death!!!* on it!
