Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

What else should we have expected from that sack of shit masquerading as a human being that is Le Page?

Disgusted, but not surprisedWe should have expected that Maine's sensibilities would keep them from voting in said piece of shit in the first place?
Admittedly, Maine is full of old-guard conservatives who don't have a party that represents them anymore, but whose reflexive vote goes "R." But people...please do some basic checking before you vote?
Observe the hilarious, the...dare I even say it...the Hitlarious.
So to sum up what is in the link, Matthew Heimbach was married to the step daughter of his publicity guy.
Except Heimbach proceeded to start having sex with his publicity guy's wife.
He swore the affair was over when he was discovered - he lied.
So this led to Mr. Parrot, his publicity guy, standing on a box or something and looking into Heimbach's trailer park home (where ELSE would this take place?), watching his boss fuck his wife.
This escalated into a massive brawl, which saw Parrot choked into unconsciousness, Heimbach beating his wife in a rage, and the whole TWP dissolving in sheer embarrassment.
Due to taking place on a now banned subreddit, I cannot refer you to a link where Richard "Not in the face!" Spencer tried to denounce Nazi Furries. It would've been amazing to read. But alas it is gone. So now we have Furries who dress up as Nazis for fetish purposes, Furries who are Nazis, and Nazis who do not like any of the above. Watching this happen is a potent source of schadenfreude.
Well, it's about time they connected things to Trump. It feels like a verrrrry slow boss fight.
Cherry tapping.

Not cherry tapping. Just a very hard boss. Taking down the POTUS is the ultimate Bragging Rights Award. Dude has a billion hit points, regenerates HP, is constantly spawning sacrificial mooks, and uses unblockable special attacks that do massive damage if you can't fit through the very narrow dodge windows. And his weak spot keeps changing between a bunch of other spots that look like they might be weak points but sometimes just trigger a powerful counterattack if you hit them.
So even though we went out of our way to get the Infinity Plus One Investigator, it's still a hard slog.
