Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

Kentucky Nazis? I hate Kentucky Nazis!
What's that leave, Alaska, Hawaii and the territories?
Environmental protesters surround the White House with Trump inside.

Seeing the picture of the polar bear costume, I can't help but think they missed an opportunity to have the polar bear with the broken dick bone from Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
How's that for a page topper?

Trump is apparently in Pennsylvania speaking at a rally. How did he get out of the White House without all the environmentalists there noticing? Apparently Pence spoke briefly, stating illegal immigration is down 60% this year, and Pence also mentioned Trump has started to turn America around and that he's just getting started.

Maybe he wasn't in the White House at all? Alternatively, there may be a secret tunnel leading from the White House to a hidden exit point far from said building that is normally used in emergencies (e.g. impending assault by an invading enemy nation).

Even if it is technically accurate, Obama became president during the middle of the housing crash and the Great Recession and such. It's really not a fair comparison.
Even without that, prescribing any job growth or loss to any president during such a short amount of time, seems ridiculous.

Yeah, the numbers they're showing are probably more indicative of the last president's tenure than the current one. edit: Having said that, I want to point out that if Obama is in the lead on this chart if you look at jobs added directly in the wake of their term.

So apparently there was a lawsuit against the DNC that was heard by a district judge, over the "rigged" primaries and...
It's about as embarrassing as it gets
Jump to page 14-15. These arguments are extremely asinine and childish.
