Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

There is a core constituency that will continue to vote Trump even if they aren't better off in four years, because they believe he is the only one in Wash who cares about them, and any failure can be blamed on someone else. But the rest of them actually voted against Hillary, not for Trump, and they want results.
I'm done trying to sound smart. "Clear" is the new smart.Remember when Mc Cain's daughter was one of the fellow sane conservatives?
Meryl Streep can't criticize Trump mocking a disabled reporter because she's a rich actress? What the fuck is that nonsense? Besides, she was speaking to like minded individuals during her speech.
Reading the comments, the Trumpets are behaving just as childish and moronic as Trump is.
That is if they aren't calling other people triggered or cucks, which I find funny for the former word because whenever someone criticizes Trump and they have no argument they do behave like they have been triggered.

It's unclear how they plan to circumvent anti-nepotism laws.
For bonus fun, this organization cannot legally operate without those two positions filled.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiot
Why did this idiot get elected, again?

I'd choose either Doom or Lex Luthor, as much evil as they are, depending of the incarnation they are at least competent leaders and their obsession is usually limited at the protagonists.
Doom at least made his home country, again depending of the incarnation, a very pleasant place to live, well outside having no democracy.
I wouldn't count on him dying, those bastards are pretty hard to kill naturally, like Kissinger and Fidel, which was a chronic smoker, can attest.
