Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

Kaine has been very aggressive, Pence may well be about to fall into a hole, he's said that he wants to go back to the '60s and '80s, plus he keeps bringing up Obamacare, isn't Obamacare pretty popular?
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranGod, she had to tell them to stop talking over each other.
Already she's a more involved moderator than Lester Holt, I'll give her that.
Oh God! Natural light!Honestly, at this point, while it's a stalemate in terms of force of personality, I intuitively think Trump might get a small bounce from this. Based on the demographic fundamentals of the race (from 538), he should be about a point behind Hillary Clinton, who herself should be getting a few more points that are currently going to third parties. That implies that Trump still hasn't fully unified the GOP behind him; Pence is basically playing the part of a standard reasonably charismatic Republican politician.

How else could he told us he was right all along and that we're still a bunch of rape apologists?
Either way, I agree with Jack, Pence does seem more likeable. If I didn't know he was a monster I'd even think he was better than Kaine. Uhmm.
Also, I wish Kaine stopped interrupting. He's looking kinda weak.

Pence sounds like a robot with a bleak emotionless voice. Don't know why people here are saying he sounds likable. Also, the situation in Iraq is because America invaded it the 2nd time in the first place.
