Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

We will indeed. If I had to guess, the areas that would be most receptive to this endorsement are probably already blue anyway.
Well as I said, what I have to wonder if whether those areas that would be at all receptive to this aren't already voting Clinton already.

Rudy Giuliani claimed that Trump would be better for the US than a woman
. Yes, those are his words.
I mean, considering we have a Republican candidate whose reality TV show played no small part in his rise to prominence, I think we shouldn't dismiss the idea of Lebron having a noticeable influence out of hand.
And it would certainly be nice if it did; losing Ohio would really be hitting Trump where it hurts.
"Programmed"? What does that even mean?
Oh God! Natural light!First time posting here.
President Obama's statement is actually rather sympathetic to the GOP. He claims that he's actually able to get along with individual GOP legislators. He thinks the problem is conservative media and its tendency to demonize any "moderate" Republican who tries to compromise as a sell-out.
Disgusted, but not surprisedHere's the complete interview, from New York Magazine.
From that section on Republicans (emphasis mine):

Some people would tell you that partisanship is essentially human life.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
