Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

I know he at least used to be, but I'm not sure if he still does that.

He's mostly an actor now, has been for a while. Rated G for Gangsta, too.
So... Apparently yesterday Fox News released a story that Clinton was endorsed by a KKK Grand Dragon. I saw this on a very liberal leaning Facebook feed I follow, so I went looking for corroborating information. I would up on Snopes
. That should about say it all, really.
Reason I bring it up is the liberal site's article
noted it as a sign of desperation on the Republicans' side and I wondered if anyone agreed.
The vast majority of Republicans hate the Klan. For example, a guy even I consider almost hilariously right-wing declared that he refused to support Trump because he refused to instantly denounce the Klan and act like they were anything but evil.

Outside of Sean Hannity, and a few others, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the vast majority of their anchors were either moderates, or simply doing it for the money.
That's why Fox News doesn't really annoy me on a personal level, like the far-left does.
I mean, if someone offered you a contract for millions of dollars, just to spew bullshit...you might think you'd say no, but when the papers are right in front of you....
New Survey coming this weekend! Before she joined fox she spent several years as a corporate lawyer. Kelly's the smartest person in their entire lineup and I think she'd do great work on another channel where she could really cut loose.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote? Not a question of firing. All three contracts are up in a year. It's about renegotiation. The Brothers Murdoch aren't as fond of him as daddykins (or former FNC head Ailes for that matter), and O'Reilly has hinted that he might be ready to retire "sometime soon". Hannity, on the other hand, isn't nearly as much of a media darling, and has tied himself to Trump's wagon so tightly, he'll end up a raving loon if the hairdo loses.
