You do know that the cop that shot him was also Black?

Keep Rolling OnUnfortunately, black cops tend to be more overt in their racism, and unflinchingly abuse N-Word Privileges.

The Alt-Right calls your average semi-sane conservatives "Cuckservatives" for not adopting white supremacy and "cheating on their race" (so to speak). They also call non-racist white people "cucks" for the same reason.

Leviticus 19:34Nowadays it's anyone they don't like. Including the black guy who seduced your wife in the first place.

In this particular case, I meant that the show makes a big deal of Tom being unconfident, inadequate, insecure, anxious, desperate, pathetic, impotent, and generally unmasculine. His wife never actually cheats on him, but it's made abundantly clear that she is bored and annoyed with him, and that she looks with some longing towards other, sexier, more glamorous black guys.

Exactly. The shooter being black only disproves racial motivation if you assume that the only people who can hold bigoted views are heterosexual white men. That we have a Monopoly on hate.
And if you assume that hate is a conscious decision. Not every police murder is the product of an officer going, "F*ck this black person. I'm gonna kill him so hard. That'll teach him to be a minority in my neighborhood!"
I mean, to be fair, some are. Things like the death of Freddie Gray are impossible to comprehend as anything but a deliberate, informed abuse of authority motivated by racial hatred.
But others are a product of fear disproportionately applied to black men. It's an internal bias that leads police to see white people and women as mostly harmless even when they're waving guns around or charging cops, but black men as hyper-dangerous beasts that must be put down with excessive force at the first sign of trouble.
In a world where black men are routinely shot for being in possession of things that look like guns or for doing things like taking his driver's license out of his pocket because the officer thought he might have been drawing a gun, it's not hard to see why a black criminal would be dead right now for being in possession of a gun.
In practice, the Second Amendment only extends to white folks. If you are a minority suspected to be in possession of a firearm, the police will kill you even over something as simple as a traffic stop. That's what people in many parts of the country have been told over and over, and it's what the Minneapolis riots are about.
EDIT: Think about the Oath Keepers walking around BLM protests waving guns around, intimidating the protestors with implicit threats of violence while claiming they're just here to keep the peace. Imagine it was a black man waving a rifle around anti-abortion protestors. How long do you think it would take for the police to shoot him dead?

I think it's less that a lot of people assume that only straight, white males have a monopoly on hate, and more they assume that you guys are the only ones ever in a position to do real harm with it. The whole "racism = prejudice + power" argument that the stereotypical SJW or Tumblrite loves.
Not that I don't get why a lot of people would go with that, but it leaves you open to missing other things.

I mean, "Racism = Prejudice + Power" isn't exactly that far off the mark, but assuming it means only heterosexual white men, in and of itself, precludes the notion that progress has been made. Not enough progress, mind you. The scales still aren't even. But enough that there are minorities and women in positions of power, capable of using that power with prejudice.
A black police officer is every bit as capable of meeting the Prejudice + Power requirements as a white officer. They share the same power. And given how skewed the scale still is, it's entirely possible that they share the same prejudice. It's the same reason the RNC kept trotting out black cops to make speeches about how Blue Lives Matter and chastise the BLM movement: minorities are not a hivemind. Some hold the same prejudices as the straight white men in power, and they're going to be the ones those men are most willing to endorse and help climb the ladder.
Which also doesn't mean that every woman or minority in a position of power is prejudiced - not any more than every straight white man is. But the potential exists, enough that you can't immediately dismiss prejudice out-of-hand because it was a woman or minority who did the deed.

(He's responsible for a ly of NYC's current gun control laws, IIRC). There are plenty of critiques to be made of his policies and argument to this day on how relevant they were to NYC's big turnaround in crime rate but he was conventionally popular. He only started spouting crazy after his failed 2012 Presidential bid, as if struggling to stay relevant.

Regarding the Great Bush Retcon
I keep hearing this. The transparent attempt at revisionist history might explain why they're so quick to throw 9/11 first responders under the bus. Their existence is very inconvenient to the narrative the GOP has bizarrely started trying to create.

The cop that shot him was also black though. It's fair to question whether the shots were fired justifiably but we only have the official statements to go on right now; the key is probably going to be the body cam footage.
There may be racism at work but its more likely in the larger ongoing societal issues in that area driving the poverty and crime than specifically the officer involved.
