Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.

Based on what just happened in Nevada, it seems possible that Sanders' delegates will riot at the national convention.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Yeah, disappointing to hear that Sanders didn't tell the delegates in Nevada to quit making him look bad, if nothing else. I understand being pissed off at what happened (as it literally gave Hillary the win), but going to the point of nearly rioting because of it is a huge instance of Not Helping Your Case.
That said, I can see Sanders' point regarding the convention and trying to flip Superdelegates to his side - he's consistently polled much better than Clinton in a matchup against Trump, though whether that would remain true is obviously in doubt.
"Why would I inflict myself on somebody else?"Sanders needs to win by a net 31-point margin in the remaining primary states to break even on pledged delegates.
That this is not going to happen should be patent. It's time for him to call off his bros.
If more people are currently voting for Clinton then how well he theoretically polls (because that doesn't actually prove he'd win) against Trump doesn't actually fucking matter as a practical issue. We have primaries to choose the candidate these days, we don't just let the conventions choose them.
Well, Trump's supporters have no reason to riot now, unless the RNC tries to pull some kind of coup on him. They got what they wanted already.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It's toothless, as we've seen so obviously in the news reporting about it. I wouldn't put it past them to try something, but it will be pretty weaksauce if so.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The most vocal of the Anti-Trumpers are quickly being marginalized. Just look at all the shit Mitt Romney, Ben Sasse, and Bill Kristol are getting from there fellow conservatives.
People are demanding that Paul Ryan endorse Trump already.
While they might not like Trump, a majority of Republican politicians and party leaders are either in favor of supporting the nominee or will chose to remain silent.
Unless Romney chooses to run again, the GOP is stuck with Trump.
The Republican Party’s civil war ended before it started.

Any group who acts like morons ironically will eventually find itself swamped by morons who think themselves to be in good company. Is the DNC planning on pulling Nevada levels of vote rigging at the convention? Because if it is there'd be reason to riot (it would also prove the DNC crazy, as Clinton has won without them rigging the vote), and if they don't there's no reason to think Sanders supporters would riot except a belief that they're all just like idiots on social media.

See my video.
I personally don't think it was rigged, but our primary system is a convoluted mess.
Donald Trump said he would repeal most of Dodd-Frank and renegotiate Paris climate accord.
He also wants to talk to Kim Jong Un to try to stop Pyongyang's nuclear program

Any group who acts like morons ironically will eventually find itself swamped by morons who think themselves to be in good company. The issue is that the Republican Party is actually not that divided. Yes, the Republican "Establishment" had been fighting tooth and nail to get their candidates like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio in power, but the Republican voters pretty much marginalized the "Establishment" in favor of candidates like Trump and Cruz. Most Republican voters would have been happy if Cruz won instead of Trump since the difference between the two is motive (Trump is motivated by his own ego while Cruz is motivated by his belief in God). It's pretty much democracy in action.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyIt was rigged or extensively fucked with, it's all pretty messy, that's on top of whatever the fuck happened in Arizona, which has already got people suspicious of the DNC playing incredibly dirty.
Republican voters aren't numerous enough to win an election, especially if the few establishment republicans left are pushed away.

“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranThe annoying thing is that Clinton probably would have won anyway. This all feels very Dick Dastardly Stops to Cheat.
Sanders' supporters are starting to look a like a left-wing version of the Tea Party. Seriously, death threats towards DNC leaders and their families? Sanders needs to bring them in line or drop out, he's only damaging the party and potentially encouraging people when his silence tactility encourages this shit.

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.
X4 I mean Clinton would have won those places anyway and even without winning them she'd still be winning the primary, hell it's not even her behind it. But yeah it's all very unnecessary and I doubt Clinton appreciates it.
X2 Death threats? Since when did that start happening, I mean happening off of social media, you can find 'supporters' of anyone throwing around death threats on social media, death treats are pretty much a greeting on social media.

Here are the death threats, and they aren't just on social media (of course, that's not alright either). They were phone calls.
After Sanders supporters thought the convention was being shut down prematurely, loud shouting ensued and there were reports of chairs being hurled. The phone number and address of the chairwoman of the Nevada Democratic Party, Roberta Lange, was posted on social media prompting a flood of more than 1,000 calls, angry voicemails, text messages and even death threats. This is a citizen of the United States of America and I just wanted to let you know that I think people like you should be hung in a public execution to show this world that we won't stand for this sort of corruption," an unidentified male caller said on the message, provided to CNN and other news outlets. "I don't know what kind of money they are paying to you, but I don't know how you sleep at night. You are a sick, twisted piece of s—- and I hope you burn for this! .... You cowardless b—-, running off the stage! I hope people find you." One text message read: "We know where you live... where your kids go to school/grandkids. We have everything on you."

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.

Yes but a FPTP one, where seats are only competitive between two parties, and the only two parties that are competitive in enough seats to form a goverment are Labour or the Conservatives.
It will be contested only in the sense that the vote for Clinton to be the nominee will be an actual vote, instead of a purely ceremonial one where everyone votes for her. That Sanders will be using his delegates to push for alterations to the policy platform.
