Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

Will you ever post anything that's not "look what awful thing I found out about Hillary today"?
Um. What?
What does their being in the south have to do with the inevitability of them fighting each other?
Interservice rivalries are a well known occurrence, you don't need to bring up bullshit coincidences like them being in the same area to justify them happening, guys. There's nothing inevitable about being in the South that's causing anything to happen here.
@ Solipsist; yeah at this point it appears to be on the event organizers? Is it more than rumors at this particular point is my question. And while I do consider TYT to be a reputable source, their bias is well known. (To deny that anyone has a bias is foolish, I think it's simply a matter of degree and how much effort they go to to mask that bias/how rigorous their standards are for backing up their claims.)
Although I wonder why they'd have a caucus in a casino in the first dang place, then I remember that casinos are fairly large and easy to find in Las Vegas. Other Nevada towns are probably having at least some in buildings that aren't casinos.

Hence the trope CIA Evil, FBI Good
I would argue the CIA does do some good stuff, for example: distributing anti-Kim propaganda in North Korea as well as creating safe spaces there for people to speak their mind. Pragmatic Villainy, perhaps, but helpful nonetheless.

Leviticus 19:34There was a campaign prior to the caucus to get people to film or otherwise document their experience, so I wouldn't doubt we'll see fair evidence of voting/electoral fraud released over the next few days.
Exit polls currently show Sanders leading Hillary with Latinos—back in October they split support. This is a good indication he can make headway among black Americans, too.
Although I wonder why they'd have a caucus in a casino in the first dang place,
Probably because many of the voters work at the casinos.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThe Syria story is false, the US has provided no backing to the Kurds in Aleppo, it's provided backing to the Kurds out east, but nothing to the Aleppo pocket of Kurds.
The US proxies are only fighting each other if one defines such groups very broadly instead of understanding the local context of many such groups.
