Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

The news stated this was possible because there was a very low demand for the drug (not many people actually need it) so only the one company ever found it profitable in any way to manufacture it.
And this definitely smacks of a lack of ethics; whether it's illegal or not is another issue. Other countries have laws that prevent this sort of price gouging in the medical industry. Ours, evidently, doesn't.
@Jack: Because the fact that China didn't automatically collapse the way Russia did somehow means that things can't be improved in Cuba. There's numerous differences. For one, Cuba is a literal neighbor. Two, the regime right now is largely dependent on the Castros. Who knows what'll change when those two guys finally die.

You can see the geometric thing reflected in Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, and Nixon's doodles. Kennedy uses more words that doodles, Clinton drew puns and penises and all I can say about LBJ is WTF.
Yeah, but he had a point. Alot of shorts/pants are nut crunchers.
I mostly prefer to draw stick figures, assault rifles, and the occasional cube or triangles myself.
Still though, when it comes to art Johnson was apparently very...creative. And Regan, I had no idea he could draw that well.

And how, precisely, have I been wrong on everything? What is "everything"? What commandments have I made that have been proven dead wrong? Did I ever declare a winner early? No, that was you.
As for your Rove remark, there are plenty of people here who would attest otherwise, people whose opinions I respect far more than yours.
