Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

Way to go, Obama. I knew you could do it.
I wonder if Romney will try to run again next time.
Well, Daily Show called it for Obama. Show's over, everyone go home.

@Triv: That's nothing, I remember between Mc Cain, Missouri only got in its vote two days after the election.

Hopefully there aren't too many irregularities on either side. And maybe the GOP will realize that they have to tone it down if they want to get those swing states. But I bet people like Governor Christie are having a good night; they've got a decent shot come 2016.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I'm just glad that people were willing to wait that long instead of just saying screw it.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.

Watch Fox News right now.
So much assmad right now.
They're complaining about negative ads (As if Romney has had zero) and having an attitude of "You didn't win, we lost"
