Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

CNN and Huff Post both said Romney has a lead over 51%,although only 17% of precincts are in,so this could change.
But then again,it didn't change in Virginia
INDEPENDENCIA! VIVA EL PUERTO RICO LIBRE!
If they get statehood I wish them the best.
Share it so that people can get into this conversation, 'cause we're not the only ones who think like this. Please, let's not have another Grayson derail. That was just embarrassing.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.Grizzly: My point was that I answered your question. You asked if I was fine with Akin running again in 2014. I answered that based on the idea of Akin running again, not winning.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Everyone is reporting Wisconsin is Obama. With good reason.
The reason why the statement was made is likely because, at this moment, Romney is leading the state 51-48 with 30% reporting.
This is why you don't trust the numbers until roughly midnight... Because they are probably not going to stay the same over the course of the night...

Mathematically, thats very bad for Romney. Not Obama.
also pretty sure wisconsin was called for Obama
