Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

And lest we forget:
Trump continued, “But I beat him in the first debate. At the second debate, we had a never-Trumper as a host, but that’s OK because I beat [Biden] in the second debate also.”
This was when he was talking about refusing the new rules for the second debate.

A federal judge has overturned the Texas governor’s voter suppression efforts:

The judge ruled that the governor could not limit ballot drop boxes to one per county, as it violated voting rights.

So Graham is refusing to take a Covid test before their debate, to the point of canceling it.
He is likely to have it but is hiding it as if he did have it the SC nomination would be up in smoke.
That's not all Graham's done. I don't know the full context, but for some reason, on camera, he said African-Americans in South Carolina can go anywhere in the state...
as long as they're Conservative, not Liberal.
I pray Harrison kicks this ass out of the Senate in November.
Oh, terribly so. I dunno if you've seen Ben Shapiro's sister trying to kinda buy her way into influencerdom, but she is constantly saying how this is the moment for conservatives to take the culture back, how oppressed and silenced conservatives are, etc.

God, this is gold. Tiny windows? So they're not even worse or uglier buildings, they're just rebuilt with tiny windows?
Bernie Sanders released 150 endorsements for downballot candidates.
Includes everything from state legislative races to sheriffs and city councils.

That's why I like Bernie. Even though he is not a direct member of the party and can be a bit grumpy, when the chips are down he always does the right thing and endorses the Democratic side, even if he doesn't necessarily always agrees with them.

"Joe Biden will tear down your house and replace it with another house with smaller windows" takes a special kind of dumb to believe.
