Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

He does not, he has actualy confirmed flat out that he does not support the Green Deal... However he also followed that up by emphasizing that he is willing to listen and discuss about the issues involved....
Which got a lot of support among the politicians who forwarded the deal in the first place since "He has agreed to listen and discuss it, Trump denies its even a problem in the first place"
I wonder how they are going to resolve that part.

It was pretty funny. And another reminder that birds of prey are not pets, and you always need to be on your guard, because they will take a swipe at you given half a chance.

Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesTo clarify, Biden opposes an expansion of fracking.
Also, this clip of Mayor Pete just before the debate is great. The Fox hosts are asking him how Kamala can support Medicare-for-All one day then support Biden's plan the next. Pete say's people are always trying to find that little bit of daylight between running mates and exploiting it, like how Pence is an Evangelical Christian and supports a president who got caught having sex with a porn star.

The only warmth Pence exudes is that of a carton of milk when you accidentally leave it out of the fridge all night.
