Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

From this article
:
Clearly this is not just a Trump thing, but something of a family tradition, a refusal to admit to serious illness.
Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesMary Trump said their family is a bunch of Social Darwinist one that believes ill people were weak.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. It collapsed. Yes, really. It's not doing all that well, hence why you're not hearing about it from Trump so much any more.
Oh yeah, and some organization collecting money for it was a huge scam.
Overall, it all was just a huge waste of tax payer money.

Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesIt’s not been built, what has been built is not a wall, also some of what has been built fell over due to some high winds.
Also a couple of his people got arrested for scamming Trump supporters out of their money by pretending they’d use it to build the wall then running off with it.
Oh and I think a bunch of military schools (as in schools for service-members kids) didn’t get upgraded because he used the money from them to build the tiny bit of not-wall that got done. Also I think they might have tried to bulldoze a butterfly sanctuary.

“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranOn another note, it seems Trump's approval ratings
are steadily climbing, despite, well, everything.
I'm not sure why, or what it means. It is also a very different pattern from what it was before, without the quick peaks and lows.

Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesIt gets weirder because we need to rename the Tyson Zone trope to the Trump Zone.
It wasn't the government who tried to demolish the butterfly sanctuary. Just some random guys who wanted to build the wall.
Likewise, plenty have tried to build "The Wall" or scammed to build the Wall independently of Trump.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Trump seems to be having visible breathing problems.

Maybe it was his way of trying to be transparent
