Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

If those exist, you mind sharing them with the fucking class?

The worst lie he has ever told.
And in this case "worst" equals "How many more people can he infect and kill before he himself bites it due to his own inflated ego?" kind of value.

Trump is the same as Alan Krumwiede from that movie "Contagion", isn't he?

I still want to point out that we are not doctors and we are not treating Trump, so anything we say here about his health is speculative and potentially out of order. That said, the continued evasiveness from the White House is disturbing.

Yeah, I recall several doctors commentating that it's unusual to give a patient with only mild symptoms steroids, and even more so to discharge a patient the day after starting a treatment with them.
I also recall several of Trump's doctors saying they would not have a clear road of recovery until *Tuesday*. Based on everything we know, Trump is still sick and still contagious. It is absolutely insane that he wants to leave the hospital today. I can't really predict what is going to happen next
Going off of that press release yesterday by Trump's doctors, it's pretty clear Conley was lying through his teeth

If the price comes as an expense of the Oval Office's dignity, then it's way too high to afford.
The Oval Office has been privy to blowjobs, I highly doubt its dignity is some precious thing that has been violated by Trump.
tbh this is a profoundly silly thing to focus on.

She has these episodes now and then where she becomes paranoid and feels she has to get away from some family members for the sake of her own welfare. Trump is at that age where that kind of paranoia and anxiety can really set in. Often at one's own detriment. Unlike him though, my grandmother has been deemed mentally unfit to make her own decisions regarding this stuff.

It's weird how nobody seems to talk about old Trump scandals. Like when he falsely claimed to have the highest inauguration audience ever—and did so in an unusually early public statement. He addressed the public extra early just to be dishonest.
