Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

Marion County, the biggest county in Indiana (my home county and home of Indianapolis) won’t finish counting votes until tomorrow.
I think that's referring to the Senate, which is much more apt. "House" means" chamber" in this regard, I'd imagine.

But I'm pretty sure that's on the Senate forecast page...
The House forecast page looks entirely different.

Oh God! Natural light!I'm gonna cross my fingers that this means they've got tons of votes to count and that things might still swing.

Of the five boroughs, Staten Island's the most Republican. If they indeed flipped it, that's probably a good sign.
Oh God! Natural light!Glad that even in an ultra conservative state like Kansas, people were able to look at the mess they were in and the voter supressing republican governor and decide that would be the wrong course for them.
Life is unfair...

New Mexico, Minnesota, Wisconsin (non-special), Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia are now all double called for Democrat holds.
Edit: New York Times mobile seems to be erroring, I'm on their browser site and it's got 95% for the Dems to take the house.
