Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

I'm not sure if Doxxing applies to companies/corporate phones, instead of just private phones.
However, it is a harassment campaign on her part.
Also, Trump Photoshop commission on his inauguration day photos. What does a tomato has that Trump doesn't? A fucking thicker skin.

Apologies for using homophobia to make a point, I think the outrage over it being used for Trump and Putin proves the point that it is shameful for Trump to resort to this for Muller and Comey. He is supposed to be the president of the Divided States. What is the bet he won't back down on this?

Hillary Clinton has spent every single day this week creating twitter threads about why she believes Kavanaugh would be bad for the Supreme Court. Each day, she focusses on a new topic.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Trump is thinking about a trade war with Japan.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Jury Fines Man $1 For Punching Charlottesville Rally Organizer
A judge had found Winder guilty of misdemeanor assault in February. After Winder appealed, a jury affirmed the guilty verdict this week but decided he should serve no jail time — and pay only a minimal fine.
"They clearly thought about it very sincerely," Winder's attorney, James Abrenio, said of the jury. He also praised the judge and prosecutor in the case, saying, "They were all kind."
Winder had faced a maximum sentence of a year in jail and a $2,500 fine.
I mean, it's petty in the right direction. This way they can shrug and say 'look, we punished him. What else do you want?'
Unfortunately, it's the same situation as the cop who was fined $1 for shooting an unarmed black man a few months ago - it's a direct statement that the suffering of the people involved isn't worth anything more than that. Except this situation is different, because it's punching a Nazi instead of systemic police brutality and murder.
It's been fun.Yeah. It's finding him guilty but undeserving of substantive punishment.
Though he does now have a criminal record, which is a punishment in and of itself (just theoretically not one). It's also a don't-do-it-again; if he comes up before a jury for a repeat offense, he might be in hotter water because of a prior.

So this is apparently a thing. Trump's latest meltdown after trying to claim the Democrats are criminals, that everything is fake news, that he is above the law, in what seems to be the dying grasp of a desperate criminal he has resorted to gay shaming. He claims to have a hundred photos of James Comey and Robert Muller hugging and kissing.
He's served up a nice fat softball here and it deserves to be knocked out of the park. Why does he not consider homosexuality shameful for him?
[MOD EDIT: No. Just No.]
Reading through the news whether it be SHS encouraging bullying and harassment of the New York Times or Trump supporters saying they support comments he made when they were actually Hitler quotes (happy to share video on request), and I look at how America has become under Trump and how it affects the rest of the world, pro facist, dictator bingo, anti sjw, and honestly I crap myself. When it has reached the point there is outrage over support for innocent unarmed black people the police shoot in the back, when murder is not considered the wrong thing, then society has failed.
