Well, if they didn't before, they certainly know now.
Man, with a poker face like that, I'd love to see Trump at a poker table. My only question is whether he would whoop for joy with good hands and curse at bad ones, or simply hold his cards facing outwards?

"Why would I inflict myself on somebody else?"Trump poised to cut all US funding for key UN Palestinian refugee programme
The move, reported in several US media outlets, has been anticipated both by senior officials at the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and other Washington insiders, who told the Guardian the defunding could be announced as early as next week.
Speculation about the future of US funding for the agency, which provides services to more than five million Palestinians in the occupied territories as well as Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, comes as European and Arab countries pledged to protect the agency and Germany promised a significant increase in financial backing.
The reported aim was to reduce those designated as refugees from five million to around 500,000, representing only those who were physically displaced from their homes when the agency was created seven decades ago, thus excluding millions of their descendants.
Donald Trump's approval rating sinks to lowest of his presidency
The figure includes 53% who say they disapprove strongly of his performance in the White House, the first time the national displeasure rating has exceeded 50%, according to a new ABC/Washington Post poll published on Friday morning.
The poll also found that a majority support the special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation and think Trump should not fire the attorney general, Jeff Sessions.
Just 36% of those asked said they approved of the job Trump is doing, matching his low in surveys carried out since he was inaugurated in January of 2017.
A total of 64% of those polled said Trump should not fire Sessions, whom Trump has repeatedly lambasted since the attorney general recused himself, shortly after taking up his post in 2017, from the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow and obstruction of justice.
And a strong 63% approve of the Russia investigation being carried out, with 52% saying they strongly approve.
Re: Bank of Amercia.
Speaking as a legal alien who had to go through this stuff and does her banking with them.
THIS IS NOTHING NEW, they have been doing this shirt since 2012 when I has to get my bank a counts set up, nor is it just Bank of Amercia.
The only reason I have a bank account at all is a relitive works for then and was able to back channel an account for me (specifics left out since I am pretty sure it was not legal)
All banks do this shit, and have been for years... is just NOW it is finally being noticed due to the political climate, but the current one isn't to blame.
You know why they do it? It's not banks being assholes which they are.....
It's called the Patriot Act which legaly requires them to act like this to us, there is a reason why I have railed against it here before.
It is one of the best things Bush did, thanks Bush.

Canada has always learned to ignore Trump's comments since he's not actually participating in the negotiations. Hell, he's spent his entire presidency bashing Mexico far more than Canada, and yet here we have this new bilateral trade deal that's literally just NAFTA with a few tweaks.
The problem is when he tries to get his negotiating team to adopt his more toxic preferences, like immigration changes, no matter how catastrophic. So far, that hasn't happened at the moment.

"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherLong post, get ready. So, there's a new guy at my work place (let's say a facility) who I've helped get used to the job. He's very talkative and shared a lot about his life with me. A lot more in the few days I've worked with him than I'm really comfortable with to be honest. He is also very ignorant of a lot of things, like what a USB is or karate.
Anyway, I learn from him he has both Polynesian and Asuan ancestry, which I thought was interesting and rather unexpected, since he looks, acts, and sounds about as Southern as it gets. Well the other day I figured out how Southern he was when he wore a shirt with the stars and bars on it, with some text about the glory never fading or some shit.
I didn't say anything about it, but it continues troubling me. We have a rather diverse workplace, with a lot of Black and Egyptian workers, and everyone works well together. As far as I can tell the shirt didn't stir up any tension, and that bothers me.
I don't know what anyone else thought about it. I realize that in this area the confederate flag isn't exactly uncommon. I don't know how many people are ok with it or don't want to stir things up. I felt the urge to say something, but I hate to admit I didn't want to start something at my job. I'd rather not get fired and I just know this is the kind of thing that leads to it.
I don't think this kid is racist to be honest. Looking back on growing up in the South, the whole Civil War has been greatly romanticized, sanitized and white washed. It's just seen as a disagreement that got out of hand, and the cause of it just kind of ignored. And the people here use it as a mark of pride and heritage.
But that's all a bunch of BS. You can't take pride in your ancestors fighting and dying valiantly when they were fighting for white supremacy. Germans don't get to wear swastikas with pride. You don't get to be proud to be the bad guy.
I do get when someone says there are "decent people" on that side though. Outside of politics they are decent. They're decent as far as face to face interactions go. It's when it comes to what they would allow and enable that makes them indecent. I liked the lady who cut my hair for years until she mentioned how glad she was Trump was banning the dangerous Arabs.
All that said, my workplace seems mostly conservative when it comes to the whites there. One older guy is kind of a conspiracy theorist who really dislikes communism/socialism. He knows I'm a lefty, but somehow he's still very upbeat towards me.
There's also a group of guys who are around their 20s whom I think might be sort of right leaning, but in this stupid modern internet conservative way. I just remember one conversation with one guy how it seemed like He was justifying Britain colonizing India because India had a civil war after they left. My supervisor is Asian, but I get this kind of classic conservative vibe off of him; family man, goes to the gym a lot, into firearms. Lots of guys into guns.
Anyway, tldr, yeah, a lot of the people on the right have goodness in them, but by God can they be misguided. But I've rarely talked to any of my coworkers about politics and I'm thankful for that. It's important to understand the kind of worldview rightwing media paints for them, and that maybe not everyone on the right is a lost cause. A lot of them are willfully malicious. But a lot of them really have just been lied to about the world outside their own personal bubble.

Yikes, that’s not a fun situation. Honestly, it’s very delicate. As you said, you are likely out numbered, plus it’s the work place. My recommendation? The next time he wears a confederate flag shirt, ask him about it. Something very vague about why he is wearing it. Get an idea where he’s coming from. Is he someone who knows exactly what the South stood for and is actively racist? Or is he someone who is just ignorant? That’s going to give you a better idea of how to go forward, rather than jumping into any particular course of action.
Being liberal in the South is awkward. There are definitely places where you're likely to meet other liberals like at college campuses, and I think there are more liberals here than most yankees think, but conservatism is indeed the norm. I think it is just a matter of being outnumbered.
Hell, it's awkward having lived here my while life and never really assimilating with the culture. Some people think I'm not from TN when they hear me speak. I know a lot of other people like me though who grew up here. I think it is just a kind of cultural divide that isn't really based on region, just what your family is like.
Maybe he's a fan of Starcraft and that flag is meant for the Terran Confederacy?
But then he'd be rooting for a faction that lures a swarm of space bugs to planets they don't like and then clean up after them so that they look like the hero.
ASAB: All Sponsors Are Bad.I love Starcraft.
At least the first game.
The Confederacy was a great enemy/character in that game. It made me sad that November Terra didn't have a deep Southern belle accent despite being one of their ladies.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. His approval rating isn't really tanking. Although it started low, it's been remarkably stable
since he took office. He generally fluctuates between 36-42% approval and between 52-57% disapproval.
His current status of 40.3% approval and 54.4% disapproval is well within those parameters. I'm honestly tired of the approval polls because it just feels like the same conversation over and over.
"His approvals are plummeting wildly! Has American finally had enough?" Two weeks pass. "His approvals are rising. Has Trump finally become Presidential?" Two weeks pass. "His approvals are plummeting! This could be the end for Trump!" Two weeks pass. "His approvals are on the rise. Truly, Trump has triumphed over his adversaries."
Always within the same 5-6% shift. I'm beginning to suspect that's just the margin of error. I'll believe the approval ratings herald something significant as soon as he breaks out of those margins. Wake me up when his approval rating hits either 30% or 50%.
Also of note, from that same page: although Trump started his Presidency with an abnormally low approval, the stability of his ratings have since evened him out with other Presidents. He is right now only 5% under President's Obama's approval at this point in his Presidency, and totally on par with Clinton, Reagan, and Carter. The only Presidents whose historical approvals greatly outshine Trump right now are the Bushes.
Trump didn't have a honeymoon period with his approval rating. Many people at the time took that to mean there was nowhere to go but down, and he'd start plummeting to heretofore unheard of levels of disapproval. But what it really meant was that he started at "Bad President" in the public eye and has consistently managed to meet that expectation.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.
I was naive enough to believe he could become presidential when he took the office... You know, he has the job now, he should stop all his wild campaign rhetoric (I was but a 17 year old lad in my defense). But nope. And if that wasn't enough, the GOP was there holding his hand and shielding him from the evil media every mind-numbing policy of the way.
Trump's coming to Texas in October to campaign for Ted Cruz.
I’m shocked, shocked to discover that a Republican will toe the republican party line.
Edit: I learned something interesting today. I have a classmate whose family is from Puerto Rico. He told me today that the name Puerto Rico is actually really offensive/obnoxious to many Puerto Ricans because it’s the colonial name, not the name that the native peoples gave the island. I had noticed that Lin Manuel Miranda almost always uses the term “boricua” when referring to himself or other Puerto Ricans, but I didn’t realize that’s because the original name of the island was Borinquen.
It’s interesting to think about vernacular and how it may not necessarily reflect the preferred name of the people. I mean, we call Haiti Haiti now, not Santo Domingo. But it’s really hard to try to shift to using a name other than Puerto Rico, because no one’s going to know what you’re talking about (unless they’re boricua) because it is so ubiquitous.

Murkowski is playing it close to the chest, though word has it that she's getting ticked about liberal groups brigading her and wants to independently review his work for herself.
I'd give even odds that she's already decided and just isn't telling anyone (Murkowski never tells anyone how she's going to vote until she votes). I'd give two-to-one that she'll say yes on Kavanaugh - she's pro-choice but kind of weak on the subject.
She may be casting eyes at West Virginia too to see what Manchin's going to do, since he's making woof woof noises.
EDIT: Interestingly, 538 reports that in New Mexico, Republicans are the third party.
Gary Johnson (L) is the second candidate for election, and if the Republican were to drop out and endorse Johnson, Heinrich (D) might have a fight on his hands. (As it stands, the right has split the party, which gives Heinrich an easy course to victory.)
