Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

"Top White House aides Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner met and agreed to "bury the hatchet" over their differences, a senior administration official said on Saturday, in a bid to stop infighting that has distracted from President Donald Trump's message."

What, you mean of stupidity and catastrophic decisions? If that's being distracted from, then maybe this is actually a good thing.

What do you think is better for Scott Pruitt's theme song? Poisoning pigeons or pollution? Cause poisoning pigeons in the park is something I could see him doing too, just for kicks. And the best way to kill birds is contrary to popular belief, not in fact windmills, but coal fired power plants.

Apparently Infowars called the nerve gas attack on Syria a false flag Attack by the US deep state (I can't believe I'm typing this, it makes me sick) to start a war with Syria, which is why the Alt-Right are now calling it a hoax.

@Autocorrect: I live in Oregon, I'm not 100% convinced this place is real, either...
Leviticus 19:34Remember that a fair amount of california's air issues blow over from chinese factories. Until recently, some of it was also because the state was simultaneously A) a dust bowl, and B) on fire. No amount of priuses will fix that :P

Honestly, I was close to throwing up when the corporate media in the US, even the ones which are extremely critical of Trump, started to talk about "beautiful bomb" and that Trump now became president. From a foreign perspective, America is currently looking very, very ugly while it praises itself and people nearly ejaculate over themselves because they burned up a firework which will change nothing.
I keep telling you guys. Corporate media go hand in hand with the military industrial complex.
Like what the fuck is this shit:
"I think Donald Trump became president of the United States last night," he said Friday on CNN. "I think this was actually a big moment."
Like fuck CNN, ABC, NBC and all the other cable news channels.
