Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

@Karkat The Dalek - Delaware has flipped back. Both were announced as soon as voting closed, which is the reason for the switching. New Jersey is 4% reporting and 51:46 at the moment.
I'll keep the link attached and move it to "leading", tentatively.
OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!They already have Congress and will likely to continue to have Congress. You are worried about the opposite of what is happening. Clinton will probably win, and the GOP will likely keep Congress and continue preventing a new justice from being appointed, thereby destroying democracy. As they are wont to do.

New England seems to be going solidly blue, as pretty much everyone who lives there expected.
As a Rhode Islander, I was pretty sure somebody had screwed up when Trump was leading a half-hour ago. Then more votes came in, and things went pretty much how they always go. RI's gone for Clinton in full.
Clinton's pretty much lost Florida and Texas, though. No chance there.

Virginia seems to be swinging to Trump, while North Carolina is going for Clinton.
About "surviving" Florida: Remember that if Clinton wins all the states where she was a strong favourite, she doesn't need all of the swing state. One or two would be enough.
