Nov 2023 Mod notice:
There may be other, more specific, threads about some aspects of US politics, but this one tends to act as a hub for all sorts of related news and information, so it's usually one of the busiest OTC threads.
If you're new to OTC, it's worth reading the Introduction to On-Topic Conversations
and the On-Topic Conversations debate guidelines
before posting here.
Rumor-based, fear-mongering and/or inflammatory statements that damage the quality of the thread will be thumped. Off-topic posts will also be thumped. Repeat offenders may be suspended.
If time spent moderating this thread remains a distraction from moderation of the wiki itself, the thread will need to be locked. We want to avoid that, so please follow the forum rules
when posting here.
In line with the general forum rules, 'gravedancing' is prohibited here. If you're celebrating someone's death or hoping that they die, your post will get thumped. This rule applies regardless of what the person you're discussing has said or done.

OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!Where did you see the BBC projecting Florida? They're not projecting it at all (yet) in the stream I'm watching.
I presume what you've seen was a report of early results from a rural district or two, which would be expected to be red, and that that would've been the only result from Florida. I don't think the BBC would have made a projection.
I could be wrong, obviously.

BBC has done no such thing re Florida - they've only called IN, KY for Trump and VT for Clinton like the US news networks.
The damned queen and the relentless knight. The live polls are reporting who's leading, not the BBC. However, the live polls do not count the electoral college votes for you, so I have them both.
x 7 Changed to "Leading"
Update: The BBC says Trump needs 28 States to win, excluding Democratic strongholds.

OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!CNN are being told by the Trump campaign that short of a miracle Trump has lost. North Carolina has extended voting in some areas, New Hampshire has an increase in younge people voting which may throw it to Clinton and Ohio has not got a big Clinton bump which may mean it goes to Trump.
30% in in Florida and Clinton is leading!
