For those who haven't noticed, this is an old video, and the mob boss story is the same you've heard about a long time ago.

Nah. Sweeping our mistakes under the rug instead of confronting them is exactly how we got here in the first place. If we treat Trump similarly to how we treat the rest of the bits of history that make people uncomfortable we're just gonna end up with another Trump in the White House.

If there's one thing I've noticed, the US DOES have a habit of whitewashing or just plain covering up when it screws up, rather than learning from it.
I mean, a fair amount of Americans I've known didn't even know that the US deposed a democratic government in Iran and installed a king, who then had a popular revolt led by the Ayatollahs depose his ass. They just assume Iran's always had some irrational hatred of the States because it's Iran. Same with Cuba and the Bay of Pigs. And so on and so forth.

No, it's more because of the way public school is funded in the USA. It can be wildly inconsistent from district to district.
That's one of the general issues with the USA. It's highly decentralized.

To be fair, there's a difference between erasing somebody's actions from history and erasing their name.
I've long argued for the latter being done in regards to mass shooters because it robs them of what's often central to their motivation: Recognition.

Unfortunately while Biden will be using Twitter as president in a presidential manner, Trump will still be on the platform unless his own account is banned. Hopefully the Twitter admins realize this and ban Trump, or we will still have all-caps tweets like "THE ELECTION WAS RIGGED!!!" and "LAMESTREAM MEDIA!!" next year.
Pretty sure Twitter's already planning to ban him the moment he stops being president.

So I've read that Trump has finally allowed transitioning to begin, meaning he conceded in all but name, yet he still screams around on Twitter? Poor thing might have multiple personalities.

...Yeah no, that tweet yesterday was definitely ghostwritten by somebody else. He's got control of the account again and he's full throttle back into the usual (dangerous) shtick. Including re-tweeting some insane stuff from Randy Quaid.

If I recall correctly his brother Dennis Quaid said that Donald was handling the containment of the Covfefe-19 well, calling him "involved". So it's not surprising that Trump would have a favorable view of the Quaids. Still unfortunate to see them being associated with him like Kevin Sorbo and Kirstie Alley, and to see them still supporting him even after he lost.
Sadly being a good actor doesn't make you a good person, I wish it did.

Though TBF, I don't think any of them have starred in anything good recently. So they're not really even good actors anymore.

The newscast Trevor cites says it was a "reputed mob boss" with the implication that the gunner killed them because they believed they were a mob boss, not that it was real.
I dunno the truth of the matter.
