I would have preferred two options: use the Apple's destructive powers (which sucked, in my opinion) or spawn five Ezio's like in Creed II.

From a gameplay perspective, you didn't even need the Apple. You could take all of those enemies with the Hidden Blades.

And you had to, for full synchronization.

God, that was so stupid. I could've killed those guys easily by just pulling out my sword, but noooooooo, had to use the Apple.

Getting things a bit old school, but is the trial by combat in 1 completely unwinable? I'm lucky to get past the first wave with 1/2 health, and then the boss just rolls me. Cant get a combo going because he counters every time, cant block his heavy attacks because he can attack again before your block comes back up, dodges ever attack and you cant attack him whilst hes on the ground. Is there some trick? do i have to go at him with the hidden blade or something?

It's like every other fight.

Hold RT, then hit X just before he hits.

Should be insta-kill.

I don't have an RT and x isn't bound to anything (I don't think there is anything bound to x) just block and counter?

Hold down block, then as the guy swings his sword at you, hit attack juuuuuuuuust before he connects.

Yep, hidden blade counter for 1HKO although you'll be without blocking. If ever you get low on health you can always just sprint around the map in a circle until your health regens though.

Only two of the Romulus Dungeons have that shitty timer. The rest have feck-easy challenges.

Which part gets you? The cannons are fairly easy as long as you take it slow and make sure to blow up the barrels of gunpowder before you get close to them. The soldiers can't do any actual damage to you, just run them over. The first tank's fairly easy too — just drive in circles around it and it can't aim properly. Just make sure you don't drive into the dynamite in the corners.

The two tanks at the end? Fuck that noise.

OH GOD THE TANK ONE

First time through, I only fail at the final section. Okay, I think, I can do it next time.

Next time, I die on the first cannon.

FUUUUUUUUUUUCK

Oddly, I got the bomber one on the first try.

I hated some of those challenges. They were god-awful and you knew they were just put in there to stretch the length of the game. Or your patience. On the other hand, they can be a good idea if implemented well enough.

The two Tanks at the end, definitely. I can do everything else no sweat, but those fucking Tanks always, ALWAYS get me.

Vehicle sections in general for brohood were a pain on PC, the controls were incredibly awkward/mouse wasn't as sensitive for controlling the crosshair (wasn't so bad with the tank though- but then that had the annoying 100% sync setup). Especially that stupid flying machine section, I raged hard during that.

^^Tbh, the game is really easy unless you aim for 100% so i didn't mind those (though they did tend to get pretty annoying later).

The bomber was easy. The two tanks in the end grabbed me by the balls, so I just went to YouTube, looked up a strategy and got 100% in Brotherhood.

^ Yeah, They Just Didn't Care how much of a hard time PC players were gonna have with the mouse in vehicle sections, didn't they? Ubisoft just shit on us.

Try this link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZQC4NvpwQ8 Makes it look pretty easy.

[up]I ended up plugging in my PS 3 controller. Made everything so, so much easier.

^^I think the most painful part is the 6 month wait. I was surprisingly spoiler free with Brotherhood but I just know that when everything is revealed in Revelations I'll pretty much know all the good stuff by the time it comes to PC.

The Tank section had great music though. Hell, Brotherhood on the whole had great music. All Creed games do.

Try and top that.

I love that track — it plays at the beginning and end of both Assassin Creed 2 games.

...but I kind of hope they write new music for Revelations and Assassin's Creed 3. Brotherhood doesn't have too much in the way of _original_ music, even if the music itself is still great.

I admit defeat, Medicus. Best song in the series, bar none. Not even the Chase theme from the first game can top that, in my opinion.
