Don't remind me, thank you very much; just don't need to be stating the obvious - though Gravity Falls is only ONE show I stick around for with this regime (Motorcity (NEEDS more love) and Kick Buttowski (well, sort of on the latter...) - they could use more, including the ones that need more love, IMHO.
As for Hasbro, their loss, then - I just really, REALLY, don't want to see Cartoon Network OR Nickelodeon screw this potential success over though, knowing how poorly run both regimes are as of late(and not just IMHO, either.)...

@Quarter Dollar - It's alright, IMHO - even if I didn't see it; Frankenweenie is still smarter, IMHO. But hey, if Genndy can do this movie (a little more) justice, it's with an animated series.

Both are great movies- the question is the sort of movie you want. Frankenweenie's humor is more subtle, with a lot more simple stylistic humor and inside reference type humor. Hotel T is much more accessibly humorous, with gags for all audiences and a much faster pace. Essentially, well, Frankenweenie is the Disney short to Hotel T's Termite Terrace mentality.

Man, IMDB posters are uncreative. When asked what a good plot for a sequel would be, someone said "There's not really anywhere for the story to go."

Looking for some stories?Sounds like Danny Phantom without Johnny actually being aware he comes from a family of monster hunters himself.
Well, the sequel is confirmed to be happening now, and has a date.
No word on who the director is, but I don't think it's gonna be hard to guess.
Saw it this weekend, after seeing Franken Weenie last weekend. Have to say I felt slightly disappointed. Though of the two, my nephew liked Hotel Transylvania better, but he's dumber than a bag of rocks.
It wasn't a bad movie, except for Adam Sandler rapping.
I was a little surprised to see a sequal already announced, but I guess if they can do a sequal for I Robot ...
Also, apparently Rebecca Sugar did some storyboards for the film.

Alright, I watched this movie, and I have to say: not one of the best in terms of plot and character development, but damn, I loved it!
The animation was fantastic. I thought I was watching a hand-drawn animated movie at certain points. I liked the characters and there were some genuine laugh-out-loud moments. The celebrity's voice-acting wasn't that bad, but it certainly could have been worse. The only real thing that bugged me was the... ahem... "trendy" soundtrack.
If I had my way, there would be none of that in the sequel. If there must be songs, either the actors sing on their own, or we find singing doubles. Also I'd like an orchestral score that plays itself straight, while I'm dreaming.
Watched the film. Couldn't help but compare the attitude to partying and such with Gatsby.
Otherwise... yeah, it was kinda weak. It was entirely built around Overprotective Dad, the slapstick was overly simplistic, the character's expressions were too cartoonish for 3d, the Burton-esque "monsters are really cute and we would love to get to know them if only we were more tolerant" mentality demanded that the mosters be completely Out of Character (heck, even if Adam had grown to become less of a sourpuss, I don't think he'd be talking like a middle-aged middle-class Californian) ... All this stuff about tolerance and yet they can't help but project these very specific mannerisms and values into the story. It's less about respecting others and more about congratulating oneself for being so nice and tolerant... of oneself.
...
Yeah, when one has seen Sym Bionic Titan or Samurai Jack, this can feel very disappointing.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I'm not saying he did a bad job, though. But it was kind of an unpolished mess. Well, at least I heard it was successful.
No, but, really, I can't get over Dracula as a doting dad, the Wolfman as an overwhelmed dad, and Adam as this... suburban type thing.
Why is Adam the only one without kids, though? Wasn't that a big deal for him, having a family and stuff?
In fact, why is Adam never called Adam and instead gets called by his father's last name?

Also, The Hub will NEVER get over its toy shtick. It's Hasbro. They make toys.
