Sloving cases one by one
x2, trailers for animated movies ALWAYS have footage added thats not always finished in the finished product. However, I'm curious about this change.
I'm a little surprised they aren't already milking the fact that Selena Gomez is in this. Not that I really want them to...
Looking for some stories?I can see some of Genndy's trademark style(particularly the scenes in silhouette and the snappy movement), but Adam Sandler kind of kills it for me.
Ah, the old contact-lense trick.
Artemis Fowl would be proud.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. It looks awesome. Love the "why did that hurt me" bit and the flying tables.
Sandler and Samberg both sound good. Gomez isn't too shabby, either.

Looking for some stories?Sandler sounds a bit too Sandlery in places but that aside the performances seem solid.

The vampires in Life Sucks have hypnotism (hell, their eyes even glow red when they do it) as well as levitation. And seeing as that was my first real solid exposure to vampire fiction I just sort of assumed they could all do that.
I love the animation. It feels vintage despite being CG. Especially Frankenstein's monster falling through the air. That's like something out of an old Warner's or MGM toon.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Projecthttp://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/168229-a-preview-of-sony-animations-hotel-transylvania
Some descriptions of scenes and some words from Genndy regarding how he got on the project and had fun with it.
Sounds really good. I can't wait!
The twist with Quasimodo wanting to cook and serve Jonathan sounds a little too similar to what happened in Pirates, but it also sounds just different enough to be interesting. He sounds more like a Cloudcuckoolander than flat-out evil. How will this play out, I wonder...?

Looking for some stories?Sotra ressurecting the thread cause here in Aus, we getting the film on the 20th.
I probably won't be able to see it this week but hopefully next week as it is my holidays.
As for anything new for the film.
The official website
has some decent stuff like soundbites and some fun games.
There's the cover of Cal Me Maybe: Call Me Mavy (I best not link that)
50% on
Rotten Tomatoes so far. Can't tell if it will raise or lower. (The current reviews are even on 4 Fresh and 4 Rotten) So it could go either way.
Genndy Tartakovsky Ruined Forever button: now on standby.
Need I remind everyone the consequence of this being a total failure? It's not just a bump in his career, this whole project dictates whether or not Sony Pictures will pick up a Samurai Jack film.
So hit that button with caution.

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.I've been waiting to find out if this will be more Mad Monster Party than typical comedy work from these guys.
That's all that it will take for me to decide if this film is worth seeing so that I can feel good about giving money to this so that Sony will choose to act on the Samurai Jack film. But, I'm still incredibly on the fence, despite the good character animation and design.
