OK, I am willing to give it some chance. But not with this crowner. Should we drop it, or just close this thread and make another one?
And no, the option in this crowner has wasted its chances already. No third chances.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAlso, please don't add any options about Jack Bauer Interrogation Technique here - no one has had a convincing argument for it to be fixed and until we have one, please don't add any options that are about JBIT to the crowner

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Is there a trope for Torture Played for Laughs? If not, I wouldn't mind turn Gene Hunt Interrogation Technique into said trope.
And this thread needs rename to reflect the crowner switch.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think this definitely needs a clarification. While "JBIT but played for laughs in a specific way" might be tropable, the fact that it describes itself as "JBIT but played for laughs" means it's littered with utterly disparate situations where that trope has been parodied, mocked, or played with in any somehow comedic manner.
Bumping this for votes and to re-ask the question: Is there a trope for torture Played for Laughs?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCool and Unusual Punishment tends to fit the bill.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Calling crowner.
I didn't write any of that.SWAP
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerBump for more votes.

Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
Wait a second. We've had a lengthy discussion here and a consensual outcome. I don't think it's a good idea to just discard that merely because TRS happens to be backlogged. If the proposed solution is infeasible, let's try and find another one; but most people have agreed that there is a problem with these pages.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
