Virgil looked at the little girl.
"Hmmm... I suppose you can't really do much with the information... Very well then."
Virgil took out the two halves of his broken sword.
"I come from a race of immortals. I've been alive now for over 150 years now. The thing is, our powers are contain within a single object of our choice. For me, it was this sword. It was a perfect idea, the sword itself is...was the most powerful ever made. I'm also not on good terms with my race, or humans for that matter, but alas, that's what 50 years of mass murder will get you: a bad reputation. The things is, the last 6 months have been erased from my memory, and when I woke up with this briefcase, I found my sword inside, broken. No one could have possibly done that. The worst part is, this means I can die now, and that is NOT a comfortable state for me to be in."

Virgil laughed.
"Clearly you haven't met a member of my race. From our earliest years the first thing we are taught is the value of life...well, OUR life. The lives of mortal races are expendable. While I do agree with their sentiment, I've made a living of proving that the lives of even the greatest of my race are also expendable."
Virgil shifted in his chair.
"Now stop with your incessant 'nobody deserves to die' crap. You're beginning to remind me of someone."

Xenosaur managed to ignore most of the conversations in the room, until he heard the words, "No long immortal."
"No long immortal you say, but how are you immortal in the first place. Surely is can not be through magic, magic doesn't exist, at least where I am from." Xenosaur began to ponder if he had finally went batshit insane and if this was some complex hallucination.

Xenosaur nodded his head at Virgil, "Indeed only the power of science does man, or any other species, bring himself to the ultimate level, and if anyone is interested I can show you the power of science."
He reached for his back as he pulled a long piece of equipment, it had a couple switces and was attached to the device on his back, "This my friends, is a Medigun, a device capable of healing any injury except death through an energy made from a special element." Xenosaur examined the device with great care, for the device was very precious.

Xenosaur was offended at Virgil's comment, "Pathetic sir, I know not, in fact, I might be able to show a demonstration."
He took a bonesaw like device, "My hyper bonesaw."
In one quick slash, his entire left arm was removed. As the bloody arm lay on the floor, he aimed the Medigun toward himself, as a glowing light enveloped him. As the light hit him, his arm and the blood on the floor began to lift itself, back to his arm, reattaching itself as it healed the entire wound.
He breathed in, "That is one of the powers of medical sciences," he said as he switched off the device.

She tilted her head...
"...is there something wrong you'd like to talk about...?" she asked him gently, "It's alright if you don't want to talk about it, of course..."
