It has been a year since the final challenge took place.
It has been a year since the traitorous creature known as Omega was exiled to a place of void an nothingness. It has been a year since an unlikely group of beings fought their way free from the clutches of their captors, the enigmatic Nomads, who had forced them to take part in a bizarre series of competitions for their own amusement. And it seemed that, for a time, the Nomad's machinations had ended, and the people of the myriad realities were free to live their lives free of divine interference.
They were wrong.
Now, a year after the final Challenge, strange new forces are beginning to conspire. Old and new beings alike will find themselves caught up in a brand new quest for survival and freedom among unlikely backdrops, a quest that will bring them to the edge of... infinity.
Hello, and welcome to the signup thread for A Game Of Gods: Infinities. First of all, thanks for taking an interest in the thread, and I hope you'll sign up for this game. As the old Forum RP hands are familiar with, all the standard rules apply- autohitting, godmodding, ghosting, metagaming, etc. are unacceptable like in any other game.

Challenges
The basic premise of the game is quite similar to last season, with a group of heroes and/or villains taking on challenges, often pitting them against heroes or villains from another universe. To begin with, we will be working through a glut of challenges leftover from the previous round, but after that people will be able to suggest and implement their own challenges.
This season, Two challenges will usually run at once. A secondary challenge will takeplace alongside the primary challenge, giving new layers something to do or an alternative to the primary challenge. This may affect what happens to your character in the long run, so choose wisely!
If you have an idea for a challenge, feel free to consult any of the GMs: Stratofarious, Troydenite and Flanker66. Remember, if nothing else, please try to keep challenges brief and manageable! 2 weeks is the maximum time a challenge should take, and please be sure that you or someone else will be able to see it through to completion.

Super Mario Bros, The Legend Of Zelda, and Metroid are the three biggest franchises owned exclusively by Nintendo that were originally created for the NES specifically. Other Nintendo franchises are either collaborations with another company like Fire Emblem, Earth Bound, Kirby, and Pokemon, created after the NES like F Zero, Star Fox, and Pikmin, or just not as popular as those three specifically like Kid Icarus and Punch Out

Wizard Needs Food Badly- Name: Unknown, nicknamed "Jungle Hunter". (AKA, the one from the first movie.)
- Universe: Predator.
- Appearance: Masked.
◊ Unmasked.
◊
- Powers and Abilities: Predators carry an assortment of highly advanced weapons, as well as some not-so-advanced ones. These include wrist blades, maul, naginata, combat staff, glaive, smart disc, plasma caster, wrist plasma caster, net gun, spear gun, plasma scythe, ceremonial dagger, shurikens, rockets, high focusing heat emitting caster, and micro nuclear self destrution unit. Also a stealth suit that renders them almost invisible to the human eyes. The predators themselves see in infa-red light and their helmets grant electro, micro, ultraviolet, and low light vision modes. The predators are superhumanly strong and resistant to damage.
- Personality: The Jungle Hunter, like all Yautja predators, lives only for the thrill of the hunt and the glory of combat. He strive to test himself and prove his strength and skills against worthy opponents and powerful prey. This is limited to aggressive members of other species - sick, elderly, young, pregnant, etc, will generally be left alone. He isn't interested in fighting anything unless it's sporting, and will even take pains to even the odds in a fight stacked in his favour.

- Name: Luigi
- Appearance: You were a-not expecting a-this, were you?
◊
- Universe: Super Mario
- Personality: Luigi's very timid, and somewhat of a coward. Well, somewhat is putting it bluntly: he's self-conscious, always worries about what's going to happen next and is terribly afraid of ghosts, all of these being the result of a minor complex over being overlooked- after all, that's what usually happens when your brother is Mario. But Luigi can easily overcome his fears and become the hero if his friends are in danger and/or the situation calls for it.
- Abilities/Powers:
- He Can Actually Talk! Feel like I have to underline this. Yes, he does not speak in stereotypical italian blurbs.
- The Lean, Mean, Higher-Jumping Green Machine! Not many people know this, but Luigi can actually jump higher than his brother, which means his jumps can get him to extra-high places and can help him deal extra-powerful blows. He's also slightly faster than his brother, but his clumsiness leads to him slipping and sliding here and there.
- The Green Thunder! So, Mario has his powerful fireballs, huh? Well, this Mama Luigi right here has a shocking response! Hah hah!... so, yeah, he can control electricity. Thunder balls, thunder bolts, thunder... bells? Anything's possible when your Luigi!
- Oh, And He's Also A Plumber. Not much else to say...
I think I was given an OK for a second character quite a while back (didn't happen due to army, mostly), and since Strat is a better writer, it follows he should be allowed another character, I guess...?
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.![]()

Not my game, our game, please. This is collaborative fiction.
I'd like to say that, just like everyone else, I asked the G Ms if I could have a 2nd character, and Troy and Flanky graciously said yes. So I'm not skipping any hoops here.
I wonder whether signing up with Lu Bu-
Do NOT pursue Lu Bu!
- as a second character is a good idea.
Hi there, everyone. :) I'm thinking about making a signup here, but I have a question. I'm considering possibly playing Gordon Freeman from Half Life, but I saw that someone else already did so in the past (before it was Infinities).
Could I still be him (if accepted, of course), or should I try for someone else? If he's out of the question, I completely understand, and I have a few other characters in mind. Thanks a bunch.
bcuz i be after yo lucky charms Yo, glad to see you too. :D
So, does the GM go about the character entry approval process, or is that like a consensus thing? I'm perfectly willing to do someone other than Gordon, but I just wanna have an official say on it (if I didn't get one already).
Sorry if I'm being impatient or anything.

and then they fricked in the bootyHello, and thank you for expressing interest!
Sign up sheets are checked out by the GMs (including Yours Truly), but if anyone has anything to add they are welcome to do so.
Unfortunately, Gordon played a fairly significant role in S1, and thus he is not available. Sorry about that. However, you are perfectly welcome to play someone else if you wish!
Okay. Thanks for filling me in, and it's totally fine.
If it's cool and all, I'm going to go ahead and plop my signup sheet here now. Also, sorry if the formatting on this is crappy. I'm typing on a phone.
- Name: Proto Man (though he also goes by his given name, Blues)
- Appearance: Mega Man, except red. :P
◊
- Universe: Classic Mega Man, sometime after the events of Mega Man 10.
- Personality: Despite being a robot, Proto Man fancies himself as a drifter and a free spirit, hardly ever content staying in one place for very long. His seemingly carefree drifting is not without a greater purpose, though, as his troubled relationship with his creator, Dr. Thomas Light, motivates him to keep a good distance from his home and "family" most of the time. Additionally, a grave defect in his energy system has his days numbered, and he refuses to have it fixed due to fears that Dr. Light will tamper with his programming during the repair and strip him of his individuality. Although his secrets have made him somewhat distant, he nonetheless values family and friendship greatly and will do whatever it takes to protect the innocent from harm.
- Abilities: His energy defect makes him more physically vulnerable than most other robots in his world, but Proto Man compensates with his agility and formidable firepower. His Proto Buster can shoot white hot plasma, generated by his unstable nuclear core, and packs quite a wallop, even by his home 'verse's standards. Additionally, he carries a shield with him to compensate for his relative fragility. He is also an excellent whistler. Not that it has any bearing on his combat ability.
Hope that looks okay. Oh, and one more question, but if I'm accepted, how do I go about hopping in? Does he just sort of show up where everyone else is? Thanks again for the help. It's much appreciated.

We both improved, I say. Colonial would sure argue that. And yes he's here too.
And yeah in the end Pokemon isn't the power trio. Even the posters from Nintendo Power and the like normally make it Mario, Link, Samus with the Pokemon guys at a different part of it.
